@ndps97 The masks have the size embossed on the left cheek area.

1 is large, 2 medium, 3 small... I think there's also a 4.

I don't have measurements, they seem to be unavailable, I suppose they fit them by trying them on, I'd buy a medium and see how that works out, I have a large and it still fits my face when tightened and I don't have a huge head.

It's not so much the size around your head so much as the size width/prominence of your jaw, cheekbones etc...

The S10 is used by the Royal army and British police the SF10 is used by the SAS but the two gas masks look exactly the same so there is really no difference

That isnt just for the SAS and RAF. Its standard issue for all the british armed forces. Its a beautiful piece of kit which works amazing. The SAS also have another version with darkened lenses so that they dont get blinded flashbangs that they use or any that might be used against them

The filter can be only screwed on the left side because it's the S10. The SF10 has a valve on both sides so you can use 2 filters or wear the filter left or right. You can buy them almost everywhere. I got mine from ebay for 35 pounds with a new vacuum packed filter but the mask was used in combat I think.

you should be careful with that filter if its still good its okay but if its expired you could get poisoned by the filter by whats inside so id make sure the filter was good before putting it on again

Eve if the filter is expired it isnt poison it just doesnt work on gas. And only Soviet 1950-1980masks include asbestos on SOME of their gasmask filters.

It shouldn't have anything like that in it, but I wouldn't wear it. If the filter is expired that means don't use it. Just the same way you don't eat or drink expired food. But usually from that era the filter would have been expired by now. If you need respiratory protection you should buy a proper mask.

just to point out when u fit the mask u hold the face piece with the right hand pull the strap out with the left hand place ur chin in the mask first and then pull the strap over the back of ur head. u dont do wot he did

ds frenzy is right, if u buy these masks and the canister is used DO NOT WEAR IT. The canister could have harmful gases in it including c.s gas and other chemical agents. The mask should be ok, just a little clean but try and get a sealed canister when you buy one. The canisters are sealed in a vacuum pack.

Keep in mind aboutt hose canisters, they may look good on the outside but on the inside it can be bad. Something in there (i forget waht its called) can be cancerous if chipped or broken from misuse or other casues. just a heads up for you guys

The entire eye hole is around 3 inches in diameter, but each lens is only around 2.5 inches in diameter because each has a plastic rim surrounding it. Good luck with your bike!

Sorry for the late reply. According to many online sources, all three sizes for the mask are pretty similar.  Mine is a large (size 2), and fits perfectly, but I'm sure an extra large or medium would also fit well. As you might of guessed, these companies need to make the masks pretty universal for all faces and heads, so the size numbers don't play to huge a role in how big the mask actually is.

S-10 and SF-10 gas mask are the current gas masks of British military. S-10 has a drinking tube, while SF-10 has none. SF-10 is used by British SAS, LAPD SWAT, and other foreign special forces.

Yeah get one from ebay mate. the sa0 is defo the best as the SAS used it and the Brits still use them today for NBC threats etc. Get the MK4 NBC suit aswell in DPM and a spare filter. If in the event of some NBC disaster you will be preped and ready to survive, or at least have a better chance than otherwise. HAHA

Wear a balaclava before you put the mask on. It will cushion your face and not get your hair caught in the strap.
