"Flood" translates to "innondation" which applies to places, not people, and torrent" just stays the same "torrent". So, no, hockeytank14 is not correct. If you guys insist on contradicting me, you should come up with sentences where you can substitute the word "noyée" for "flood" or "torrent" without it sounding weird.
