I saw this match at like 1:30am on Worldwide when it was broadcast and it is what made me a huge fan of professional wrestling. I have never marked harder than this era Muta, Sting, and Steiner Bros.
@sabu4646ar Look for footage of Hall back in his days in Florida, working for Eddie Graham in the early 80's.Also,his time in AWA during the mid-80's. . . he had a huge afro style haircut.
@y2taner not everyone. kurt angle was never a jobber. yeah you me be a jobber in the minor leagues, but when you are one for 10 years when you get in the wcw or wwe that is sorry. guys like edge, christian, bob holly, the miz, ect were jobbers until all the big name guys retired.
@Slacker4LiFe247 Actually I remember after the void Magnum left, they did try to make Scott into the next Magnum. They showed promos for months of him walking through the Florida Everglades, Wrestling alligators and all kinds of other craps. Upon his arrival, he was promptly beaten to a pulp in about two minutes by Kamala The Ugandan Giant and when he was seen again in WCW, it was as a member of The Outsiders with another loser, Kevin Nash aka Diesel aka Vinny Vegas aka Oz.
@Whiterabbitssuck Yes. I remember that too. Terra Rizing aka Jean Paul Levesque aka Triple H was in WCW at that time also. Neither one of them made very much of an impact. I think it may have been due to lack of promotion more than the lack of talent in the case of Scott Hall, but the other two were two of the most overrated and none talented guys I've ever seen in the industry of wrestling.
This is the first NWA/WCW match I ever saw on TV, and I fell in love. Muta's high flying sold me for life, and it did not ruin the sport. What an idiotic thing to say. McMahon running all competitors out of business ruined the business.
0:57 Muta jumps off the ropes and the crowd doesn't even react. Cause that stuff isn't effective, it doesn't look effective live, and that high flying killed the sport! lol
@eslubin the high flying isn't what killed the sport homie. Wrestlings biggest years came from 95-98. What almost killed wrestling was a documentary that was aired on cable tv called the secrets of wrestling where a bunch of pissed off wrestlers did everything they could to expose all the tricks and fake stuff that goes on during a wrestling match. Either way WWE still has one of the largest followings in all of entertainment so your comment is 100% false. Plus the fans loved Muta and still do
Scott Hall did have talent. He could've been a world champ.

@sabu4646ar Amazing what a change a quart of oil on a man's hair, shaving a mustache & going around saying "Hey, yo!" & being a drunk makes.

scott hall has always been a jobber. a guy who starts out as a jobber is not an elite wrestler.
