i have two questions, what is the huge gray structure on the stern?, and why is she flying two different flags?
firemonkey1097 2 years ago
The gray structure houses the self-unloading gear, basically a big conveyor that lets the ship discharge its cargo. The Frontenac is a Canadian ship, and the American flag is a courtesy because the ship is in American waters.

So many of the lakers I remember are gone along with their parent companies.
Halco- gone
Misener Lines- gone
Desgagnes Group- gone
American Steamship Lines- now Oglebay Norton

@richintalent Groupe Desgagnes is still around, Oglebay Norton isnt, most of their ships went to ASC aside from 5 I think it was.
