The legs are partially enclosed in fat, just like a fat human and only the lower parts are visible, this is neglect...

Sweet! I saw a Nile Hippo similar to this @ the zoo @ Washington, DC. This was THE main attraction for me. They had a couple of pygmy hippos that are less than half the size of the Nile hippos then one huge Nile hippo. It was awesome. I snapped a couple of pics of its wide mouth and funny teeth during feeding time. Definently worth seeing.

Hippo fact: Nile hippos can breathe underwater up to 6 minutes!
