i think flash gave games 3,4 and 5 away. he knows playing defensively is where he's best at. instead he did the dumbest strategies against a good zerg player. what terran doesn't wall up their choke and instead fast expands against a zergling rush? seriously flash come on man, he gave those games away. i wouldn't be surprised if he gets caught up in the betting games lawsuit with the rest of them. can't believe he did such dumb shit.

@Doral08 12 hatch is actually the slowest build to get out zerglings, so the zerg went the opposite of a quick zergling rush, 14cc is even supposed to counter 12 hatch, but flash failed defending.

-Effort certainly didn't play perfectly, and did seem adversely affected at times because of his initially poor situation, but he deserves a lot of credit for his come back win, and at the same time, Flash did not play up to standard.

-Besides it was Flash who went for 2 trick builds, 3 if you count the ill conceived valkyrie build in set 1, which really had little expected value. If there is anyone to blame for Flash's loss, it is himself, either for not playing as well as he can in general, or for using builds that were, simply put, not very good. Effort on the other hand played well. He scouted early almost every game, playing it safe while sacrificing mining, or he played aggressively with intuitively strong builds

That being said, I was actually rooting for Effort to win the series, I am a fan of his playstyle, and coming back from a 2-0 deficit, and coming back from a re-game after gaining a significant advantage, against undoubtedly one of the top 2 players in history, is a truly awesome achievement, and one deserving of a lot of respect. To those people saying Effort won because of cheese or he was undeserving of victory: Its not about who was the better "subjective" player, its about who wins.

I feel as if Flash was trying to incorporate to much of a psychological/"mind games" aspect into his play this series, by doing tricky builds, early baracks one game, Fast expo the next, in order to confuse Effort. This type of play might be more optimal if Flash was playing someone like Jaedong or Stork, against whom he might need to pull something extra out to win a series, but against Effort it shouldn't have been necessary to the extent that it was actually utilized.

Not a very good set though, I feel Flash is the dominant player, the first 2 games it was like a pro vs a minor.. then last 3 games he makes stupid builds and almost seems to stop trying, what is up with that? Effort may have won best out of 5 but Flash is the better player, so it's disappointing to see him lose like that, 3 lottos.

Disastrous decisions by the loser. As for the champion - well done. He played well in games 3-5, so I'd say he deserves it. I'm still a favourite of the loser, and wish he had won, but it can't be helped.

i think flash was trying to out smart effort, since its the last game, maybe flash anticipated that effort will go for a more econ heavy build like 12 hatch so he went 14 cc. but effort went for 12 pool. GG
