@JakobsMovieTutorials it's real easy to say speed is nothing when you can't do it , but when you can adapt speed to and make it relevant to various music genres then , it's less of a metal thing and more of skill thing , but if only you weren't 12 years old you little cunt
@JakobsMovieTutorials Metal drumming isn't all about speed. You may want to educate yourself more about something before you flame it so you actually know what you're talking about.
@JakobsMovieTutorials Watch a good metal drummer. Its not all speed and noise. Thats how you can determine the good from the bad. Dont shit on a type of music just because youve only seen one er two bands play.
@JakobsMovieTutorials : Ah the squealing of the uneducated. Maybe stop watching Joey Jordison and check out some real metal drummers before you make sweeping generalizations ;)
@JakobsMovieTutorials metal drummers aren't bad dude (: of course i am a metal drumer... but i still play stuff like thomas lang or mike portnoy ... not so good ... but i try it (:
@JakobsMovieTutorials First: I saw it in your profile "Age: 20", second: I am not telling that "Kill Bill" related somehow to metal, I just trying to tell you that this movie is FUCKING STUPID as a bunch of other Tarantiono's movies. As for metal, I'll tell you the secret: metal is different. Saying " its so overrated they play fast and thats it." you showing your ignorance. Go listen to Swedish band Andromeda. The drummer and other musicians there are awesome and don't just "fast and thats it"
@AngryMetallisto that's bullshit bout kill bill, and man you gotta admit, speed is mostly what it's about when it comes to a lot of metal drummers, and yes, i listen to metal
@JakobsMovieTutorials :) I'll tell you what: to me looks strange that you hate metal but are a big fan of Quentin Tarantino and especially his movie Kill Bill. The movie is absolutely primitive to me. I understand you love it because you're 20. Tarantino sucks now. The one and worth watching was Pulp Fiction. All the later shit has been teeneger oriented trash.
okay so you have the setup i want for my b/b kit, do you have any problems with those toms slipping on the gibralter rack? like slipping down and losing their spot? some people they they slip and some dont, so, do they?
@mittensmonk well a rack can do multiple things one they have special clamps so if you take your drum set down and set it back up you know everything will be in the same spot another thing is you don't need stands and racks especially come in handy if you have alot of cymbals the rack will save you lots of room also you can pretty much set your drumkit up any way you want without having to worry about how your stands will hold or it they will tip over
true man, but really it comes down to what the music calls for. i specifically chose the birch bubinga because it has a little more overtone to it but still has the ridiculous low end of the bubinga
@zeebtron I agree. I'll most likely end up getting the bubinga birch kit. I was on tamas site yesterday already looking at finishes lol. I was rather partial to dark stardust burst.
haha oh god, that is a nice finish. mine is the tri tobacco burst. i liked it a lot before but now i'm just like eh...not amazing, but still looks nice
I don't think i've seen that one. I've always been more partial to sparkle finishes or bursts. I know tama will swap finishes for a price if it is do-able. But, The performer kits are usually made in a seperate factory than the starclassic maple and bubinga drums. All you can do is ask, The worst that can happen is that they say no.
I'm sorry.. the first thing I did was see an ugly ass pillow in the bass drum.. LOL.. dooooood... let the drum breathe! Snare and toms sound amazing.. birch/bubinga.. one of the best wood combos ever. Keep jammin' bro. :)
I completely agree with you, I have a PDP fs drum set, I know is not the same level as starclassic's, but man, I bought a drumdial, got it well tuned and there's no need for a pillow, it blows me away! so LET THE DRUMS BREATHE! cheers
You're right I was basing my comment on some of the blowout prices on the Performer sets. If I can get a 6 piece shell pack for around $1500/$1600 I'll be a happy camper.
@Talassan did you have the wrong time there because i didn't see any bass "roll" but i did see some poorly executed sixtuplets and quadruplets 4 on top and 2 on bottom (vice versa) and qaudruplets 2 over 2

I like that honeyburst, myself, but I wish I could get one of those exotic finishes from the regular bubinga kits. Still, B/B is a great kit though.

you can only get a 3 peice set for like 1300 so i doubt this would be 1700...
