I hear you and agree with almost everything you say (especially about the law), but Vick deserved to go to jail and it should have been a longer sentence. What he did was cruel, sick and premeditated (he knew how much pain he was causing - even to his own dogs). You say dogs don't pay taxes, but don't forget we use dogs to watch cattle and property; sniff out explosives in Iraq etc; help blind people and people with disabilities; be our companions and best friends etc. They've paid their dues.
