In my opinion, the genre has expanded to mean different things. For me it means the combination of the electronic, mechnical, and organic sounds you'll find in those genres. So you could say that.

Klay himself doesn't like the term "industrial" to describe his music, he calls it electronic rock. He says he doesn't understand why people call it industrial.

The prototype, COIL is the pinicle of Industrial growth, they really expanded it as they could in the time the members were alive. then you have bands like Dawn of Ashes/Amduscua/Hocio/Grendel, giving themselves an Industrial tag. Then you have people like *ugh* Rammstein, then *I love* Angelspit. All Industrial.

It's a HUGE genre.
