Salut je viens de voir que tu as une plaque du québec..!!! je suis en train de remonter une esprit turbo s3 85 et j'aimerais avoir des hints!! Please get back to me
I would like to build by own mid engine car with the BMW v12 engine and the audi 5000 or porsche 944 gearbox but I have been thinking about the shassy what should I use well I was thinking of using a front engine rear drive layout shassy and just move the engine to the mid part by making a hole where the back seats are I live in Finland and have no idea if I can drive my build on the street but still here there is some racing trackes where I can enjoy it. What do you guys think?
Congratulations from Spain!!!!!!!!!!!! very nice job. I was thinking into swap this engine in a esprit chasis to build a replica of a ferrari ( I've got the engine at home yet). But my concern is about if it will fit into the chassis. Did you made any modification to the chassis ( apart from the engine mountings of course). Sorry for my English and congratullations one more time, it's a pretty impresive job.
The neighbors don't mind so much, bit there has been some comments about the last time I took it around the block. I am working on the muffler now and welding up the exhaust - progress has been a little slow lately - but it is getting there.

Hard to say how much it all cost - it's still not done yet.
If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know already - I could probably do it for 15,000 CDN - depends how far I would want to go.
I probably have 25 into this one - but there was allot of trial and error and I paid allot for the car 7 years ago when they were going for more money..

I don't think he's american. Also, it's his car, let him build it how he wants. I'm sure he understands the principle of light weight sports cars.

Menos mal que es un turbo. Si llega a ser un S1 o un S2 le deberían meter en la carcel.

Jesus H. Christ! You must be the most popular guy in your neighborhood!
Are you on the Lotus Forums? I have an 85 Esprit too and would love to hear more about this insanity.
