Please help!!! I validated my app and it said there is nothing wrong with it then i submitted it and then i went to iTunes connect and next to my app they wrote "invalid binary" please help!!!!!
so to understand this correctly i dont need to "compress" the app file and then use the "application loader" to submit the app? also to make it universal "iphone and ipad", i just need to select the universal target? And is it best to make the app originally for ipad to work best?
@CrsGarden Yes, you do. And I'm actually willing to do that because if you sell your apps or make them free and put ads... TRUST ME, You'll regain you $99 and more.
"Application failed code sign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an iPhone Distribution Certificate."
I have this error and when i do the drop down my iPhone distribution says "currently doesn't match and profiles" but my developer one does. i have a distibution certificate downloaded too.
@BossSwanger Have you put the distribution certificate into Xcode? Make sure you also set the certificates to the "Release" version otherwise it won't work when building.
@1starfist Go to "Project" > "Edit Active Target 'MyProjectName'"'
Scroll down to the "Search Paths" heading
Double click on the "Library Search Paths" row
This will contain something like this (something like) $(SCROOT)/../iPhone.Simulator/..."
I just deleted it.
Then I scrolled up to the top of the same screen and checked the checkbox next to "Architecture" - "Build Active Architecture Only". (I was choosing armv6 but it was building for armv6 and armv7)
@MilmersXcode I get this message: "Application failed code sign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an iPhone Distribution Certificate."
I think I have the distribution certificate but if I haven't how do I add it to Xcode :)?
@dethklok1989 In your app make sure you release all your variables when you have finished with them. Especially with allocating stuff in methods and forgetting to release them.
If it still occurs just PM me and I will try and help further.
@Abouzolof1 If there is more than 1 account assigned to your developer account then priorities are set. These control weather you are allowed in to iTC and what you can do when you are in iTC. Unfortunately, this is managed in iTC. Make sure your account is a developers account otherwise it won't be allowed any way. This is a free process.
Other wise I would recommend contacting Apple Support and telling them to let you in.
hey i don't have distribution in code singning part i just have debug and release and i'm getting application failed codesign verification when i am validating any suggestions? xcode 4
@Charbeltoumieh I am thinking of doing this tutorial again as I just realised (based on your comment) I missed out a very big part of the process. I will explain and fix your problem. If you select your entire project (It's the blue icon at the top of the file list) and the select your project again in the next sidebar to the left. In the main screen select the info tab and go to the drop down "Configurations"
This message will have to be split into 2 parts. See you in the next 1
@Charbeltoumieh Ok. When in the drop down menu "Configurations" select the + and press "Duplicate Release Configuration" and then rename it "Distribution". Voila! you have got a distribution in code signing.
Hope this helps and answers your question. If not don't hesitate to ask for more help :D.
Hi all i plan to do is develop free apps but i don't want to spend money and i all ready have xcode is there a way to do this without a developer account?
@odee900 I have had this before. There are a number of reasons for this. This may be because your bundleIdentifier is not the same one that you put in the form on ITC. Or it's because your icon sizes are the wrong size. Maybe it's because the version you are submitting it is too old or new (beta Xcode). It could be because of your certificates.
There are many reasons so I am afraid its very hard to diagnose without more detail. Were there any problems you ran into? This could be why.
@Manuellz92 In ITC (iTunes Connect) go to manage your applications and select the app you want to change the price for. You can also do this whilst setting up a new app.
When there select the box in the top right hand part of the screen that says 'Rights and Pricing". When on that page you should see a series of drop down boxes that allow you to change the price.
To do this make sure you have to have agreed the the iOS paid Applications Contract and set up your payment details.
Thank you for this video, it's really helpful. Are you able to do a video tutorial dealing with posting and getting high scores from game center? I think I need to do part of the steps in this video before I can test out Game Center but I don't quite get how it works.
Thank you for this video, it's really helpful. Are you able to do a video tutorial dealing with posting and getting high scores from game center? I think I need to do part of the steps in this video before I can test out Game Center but I don't quite get how it works.
@mikeytdan87 I will do eventually. I am still trying to work out how the API works but when I get it cracked you'll be the first to know I have made a tutorial :D
@wooday121 If you read the description it says "Parts of this video were "censored" due to it containing personal information." That part is talking about the provisioning profiles. If you want I could do an "extra" add-on video that tells you how to set up the prov profiles if this helps.
I did all the steps as in the video: Correct bundle identifier, version, contracts etc... Problem is that my app is in "Waiting for upload" state, but when I choose to validate (or submit) I can't see my application record from iTunes Connect.
@peterbiely Make sure you actually complete the process in ITunes Connect before you go to Xcode otherwise you won't see it like you explained. Make sure you actually click the button "Waiting for Upload" or "Ready for upload" I forget what it's called. Then it should show up for you to submit in Xcode. Any further questions feel free to PM me.
@MilmersXcode Hello, as I have written before, I've completed whole iTunes connect process (Clicked the blue button" ready for upload) then I've received an email that I can upload my application. All identifiers in project are correct - I don't know if this has an affect for iTunes Connect records. But when I choose Product-Archive-Validate(or Submit) from XCode and enter correct login credentials, I can't see none application record...
@wooday121 Hmm. Never heard of this before. Have you actually set your certificate in Xcode? Feel free to PM me if you don't want to share stuff publicly.
I only seem to have debug and release in the targets under build settings. I am missing distribution and I think that's why I keep getting the "Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission certificate. (-19011)" error message. Any help would be appreciated!
@Colton328 I don't get alot. I got around £30 from march. Don't know April yet but probably less. I mainly make apps for fun or to help people. For example iChoc is a random app just like the carlsburg drinking beer app. Just a novelty. The ATDates app was requested by people at my school to help them remember the holiday dates and what week they come back after the holiday. At my school we have a timetable that has 2 weeks and after a holiday no-one knows what week it is when we come back.
@maxhasadhd I am sorry to have to say that I use Screenflow which is a Mac only program I believe. There might be a windows version but I am not sure. I choose to publish in HD which takes longer but gets better quality for you guys.
@MacOSeX10 Not really. As of Monday last week I have had 117 downloads of iChoc. ATDates is only for people in my school because it's about our holiday times. I don't really get a lot of downloads but I don't mind. I have got around £43 but it's not money I am aiming for. It's just for fun.
I get a message saying: No suitable application records were found
Please help ASAP
