Iv'e played cube 2: sauerbraten for about a year, since it is the original game built with the engine, it is by far the best. The gameplay is fast and it is 10 times more fun, i guess what Quenton Reeves the developer of Blood Frontier (also a helping developer of Cube 2) was trying to do was create a more realistic version of Cube 2, which doesn't really fit the engine's theme. This game has a couple improvements but the overal theme is boring and there are allot of annoying unnecessary addons.

Anyways,if you want a good,free FPS game,just get download X Operations.Despite it's low quality graphics,it's easily the most fun freeware FPS there is.Also,pretty much any modern computer can run it and the download is less than 10MB so you can start playing almost immediately.There's even a Mission/Map Editor that you download for it.

NOTE:If you want to give X Ops a try,MAKE SURE you run the Config THEN the game.(

From what I see it pretty much like Q3 Arena (there are even many levels from this cult-game) only with worse graphics (maybe it's because it's beta but I doubt that), sound etc. Yes, it supports Analgyph-Viewtype. So what? I'm kind of getting tired from all those Quake-clones that add nothing new and even are more or less a step back when it comes to good looks and playability, which imho a brought nearly to perfection in Q3 Arena.

Not 80% of crossfire players hack. Its probably about the same as combat arms (I play both). About 10% hack, 20% are good and get called hacks and the rest suck or are ok.
