I remember as a squaw ( i mean indian woman) got out of the water. I watched in the cinema, I was seven. It was one of my first meetings with erotica.
Read this book when I was a kid, the novel is 10 times as good as the movie. But the movie holds a special place with me as well & I enjoy it a LOT. One of my sentimental favorites.
U can find it on E-Bay highly recommended read. Written by WIll Henry, it's probably one of the best western novels I've ever read & it is way WAY more intense than the film.
ALso, in the novel, the character of Colorado is actually described as a bald headed Mexican that looks a lot like Telly Savalas which is weird because everytime I see the film I wish Savalas had played the Mexican role which seems strange but would have been an interesting portrayal.
Omar Sharif was the popular actor at that time and i guess he'd got that leading role but not Savalas.
i have a few friends here who run bookshops downtown selling used books and i might want to look for that novel. i know eBay is the way to go for used books and other items 'coz i am selling my collectible stuff on eBay Singapore.
back in the early 1970s, there was a blockbuster Western movie called, Kill Them All And Come Back Alone, starring Chuck Conners and Peter Finch.
i can't find this movie on DVD and if you know of any website that has any clip of it, please let me know. i really miss this movie even though i had watch it twice in the cinema in those early years.
my father talked a great about this legend movie when i was child. for the fist time I saw it in cinema hall was somewhere around 1989 when i was an adult. By-God, that was the happiest day of my life. I truly love this movie. Gregory Peck, Telly Savalas... the greatest stars hollywood could ever have.

The Mummy is almost a direct copy of this movie. While both have their merits, I prefer this one.
