@petejr76 if u think being a boy scout is gay its not trust me. I'm not like normal kids and sit at there home and be bored. I go to camps have fun and learn new things.
Yeah this commercial cheezy as hell but honestly I owe alot of great memories to scouting. There's nothing like being out in the wilderness away from all societal crap, just fishing and hanging out, its where a man belongs, in peace.
Wow! I was glad to see this Boy Scout PSA again after more than 30 years. It sounds just the same as I remember it from my Boy Scout-age days. (I myself was a Scout, briefly.) And I still dig the lounge-jazz music in its latter half — sounds a lot like Herb Alpert! (Does anyone know who wrote it?) They sure don't make PSAs like this anymore. Thanks a million for posting this!
Phil Tonken (long-time New York-based narrator/announcer, including WOR-TV and radio) is the announcer for this PSA. This is from a "CATTANOOGA CATS" episode, with a transition for the next cartoon...

Today, at 0:34, the term "priest like scout" could be used as the "Scout", or scout guide.

I should've joined the Boy Scouts when I was a kid.
