  • Can u watch adobe flash videos??

  • how is gaming on it?

    and 'nother question

    this or xperia play?

  • @lituvis1 I've got an Xperia Play and it's great for playing N64, PS1 and SNES games. The control pad is excellent. However, the HTC flyer is a 7" tablet that isn't as portable as the 4" Xperia Play.

As far as gaming is concerned, I would go for the Xperia Play simply because of the dedicated control pad, the Dual Shock feature with PS1 games when using FPSE and the portability. Not to mention that the Xperia Play has the benefit of a removable battery.

  • Are any pre-installed apps, such as Evernote, subscriptions? I don't want a tablet that has multiple companies billing my credit card every month.

  • I'm turning in my kindle fire for this bad boy but how much for the warranty

  • I have this. Pretty good tablet

  • I have this

  • "there's an app for that"

  • 2.5gig or upgradable ram would be nice. ;)

  • I agree with some people on the iPad being a rip off and your paying what 420-450 for a wifi 16 gb when this is like 340-370 for 32gb wifi faster processor and the pen concept which i think is really creative

  • can't they deactivate the hand touch input altogether and allow only the input from the pen? keeping your hand in the air all the time can be tiring. Other than that this is what I've been looking for all my life!

  • HTC. I love you.

  • Interesting Concept. But what fucking version of android is that?

  • Can i do java programming on it ?

  • @12350752 It comes with 2.3.3. Hopefully updated to 3.0 soon though.

  • I THINK HTC IS GOOD YOU SHOULD GIVE THEM A CHANCE BECAUSE EVERYBODY IS SAYING ABOUT I PADS ARE BETTER ECT.... I THINK IPADS ARE RIP OFFS BECAUSE YOUR BASIALLY PAYING FOR THE NAME BUT THATS JUST ME ... SORRY APPLE FANS

  • got my samsung galaxy tab 10.1 with HC 3.1 last week .. nothing compares to that really, my sister's ipad looks rather minimalistic infront of it , I am chuffed!

  • They really have some neat ideas there.

HTC are definately one to watch in the next 2-3 years in the tablet world

  • So if I get this wifi I can only get free android apps :/

  • @jdavis4297 Huh? Why do you say that?

  • @p3rrypm because they are innovators

  • It's actually very useful when you're in college and you need to take down notes or record what your professor is saying! :D

  • i want this

  • then pen is useless imo

  • if I got the Flyer, I could do without the $80 pen- that's such a waste of an extra item.

  • I like it, but why is it using such an outdated version of Android?

  • @Gipshaw When this tablet came out the current version of Honeycomb (3.1) wasn't optimized for any other platforms other than Nvidia Tegra 2 (would be really laggy on anything else). However, the newest version which just got released (3.2) is optimized for other platforms. Hopefully Flyer will get an update to 3.2..

  • @Gipshaw i agree. If its a phone, i would not mind. But it is a tablet!!! :(

  • HE SOUNDS LIKE TOM HANKS!!!

  • why cant it make phone calls!!??

  • @HeAiNtMaN Its a tablet rofl

  • ill pass, gna spend my money on tab 10.1 instead.

  • 80 dollars for just a freaking pen for this thing wow. Little high much!

  • @MrRey84972 The pen is included with the tablet, just not with the Wifi best buy ones

  • screw the ipad i want this!!!

  • android 3.0 is wack. it looks like really bad tron layout. 2.x is better. just saying.

  • why can we have screenshot on the desire hd

  • Yes you can print pictures

  • one of my favorite with magic pen stylus..

we can drwa anything in the screen

good technology breaktrough from others competitor :)

  • Got my hands on one yesterday,...it's pretty amazing, the touch is as good as the ipad, the note taking is ideal, and the screen is beautiful. Good job by htc, just wish it had more than just a mini usb on it besides the headphone jack. dual cameras though. and it's not heavy, but very solid. A definite keeper. lil pricy at 499 for just the wifi version.

  • can you print straight out of there

  • Hey guys, Check out techbuzz101 on twitter and youtube for a 17 inch macbook contest!

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG HTC SCRIBE LETS ME WRITE ON THE SCREEN if i wanted to write i would grab a pen and some damn paper im not gonna spend 400$ just so i could write on a screen

  • does it have skype?

  • itsa fail

  • I want!!! Anyone have a spare £600 they could give me?!? Pleeeaaasssseeee. heehee.

  • Does anyone know if this would be good for note-taking?

  • @jacobh1995 considering how slow the reaction is when the guy was writing something down, I would say: No. It's Actually quiet disappointing..but I never had my hands on it, so cant really say :)

  • @jacobh1995 definitely! perfect & faster than writing on a paper

  • @jacobh1995 Not really, that's why they invented paper

  • watch?v=pBVTsIAEL2Y

THATS ANDROID 2.3 TABLET REVIEW..CHECK IT OUT GUYS

  • HTC should innovate what the pen can do extra new on tablet... instead of just writing and drawing ... FAIL!!!

  • why would one want to write on the screen?

I can't think of when I would want to do like what he did at 1:00

  • his voice is same like wade barret

  • Perhaps it's me, but these 'salesman' are rubbish at explaining the functions of the unit, and don't convince me I need one...

    'Um, err, um, err...."

Nope. You're not making it an immersive experience for me...

  • where is the pen suppose to go? am i suppose to hold it when I'm not using it?

  • They fixed that lag!!!

  • as i have seen on amazon.de its really expensive!.

better get ur self an apple one...

  • Tried a demo unit in the store today, and it wasn't as atrocious and unstable as assumed. I was even able to write with the stylus in a manner comparable to conventional pen and paper. I may end up purchasing one this summer.

  • marketed for the kids that hog their parents tablet..

  • UH OOOO.....i can see some...laggg.....

  • Anything HTC is pure sexy

  • I honestly do not understand the point of the pen. Seems like a step backwards.

  • @SSVcaptain You obviously don't have stubby fingers like some of us...

  • @SSVcaptain There comes a time when typing can only do so much. You can then record stuff in a way you understand.

  • lame and useless waste :/ HTC make android SUPER laggy! you can see how unresponsive it is compared to natural android in the vid :/

  • @TheKrisgalea Funny, my EVO runs more smoothly than my friends' android phones. I'm sure what you got doesn't have shit on EVO!! XP

  • Why doesn't it come with android 3.0 (honeycomb)??

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 because it's crap and only has a single core.....I would never buy it. People call the iPad just a big ipod touch but this just looks like a big HTC phone....fail.

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 coz honeycomb source code is not yet open. So HTC cannot modify it to add their interface. Google may make it open after the release of next version of honeycomb.

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 because it is not officialy out yet

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 if it did it would beat everything.

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 Because it's a 7-inch tablet

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 It doesn't come with Android 3.0 because HTC is still working on that update for the Flyer.

  • @TheAsianInvasion23 Honeycomb 3.0 didn't allow for smaller screen sizes and resolutions other than those on the Xoom and G-slate

  • why they dont let people hands-on ??.... that guy is annoying

  • Amazing will definetley get

  • the last answer make me TOTALLY disappointed and hate it.. no adobe flash!!

  • @TheKkd123 He meant no led flash for flashlight.

  • @TheKkd123

lol it has adobe flash. that was about something else

  • Android 3.0 seems to be the “killer feature” that has grabbed the attention of the tech media.HTC Flyer is also euiped with a Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.Maybe it is really a tablet like no other–a sleek tablet and a magic pen that transoforms any situation

  • the stylus seems awesome and very useful for note taking, allowing us to take notes on lecture slides without having to waste tons of papers

  • Make a successor to the Flyer (HTC Flyer 2, Flyer v2, however they want to call it.)

Give me the longest possible battery life, and an 8-10 Megapixel camera or more on the back, then i'd be happy.

  • the pen tool is great for a storyboard artist or if you just love to draw then you save a lot of paper :)

  • They should have called it the HTC Graffiti. I don't really understand how flyer relates to drawing or writing?

  • @xxFNORDxx Woah ur right!

  • @xxFNORDxx because it can fly like a G6 ....

  • @xxFNORDxx It's fast? Lol

  • @xxFNORDxx thats only with the pen though

  • WANT IT!!!!!!!!

  • Getting me one for sure.

  • **Sniff Sniff** what do I smell? Apple planning to steal this idea from HTC. Probably will happen though...

  • OMG im getting one. I love HTC's always have, always will imao better than apples.

  • @mitchy5580 anythings better then an apple

  • I'm hearing that it lacks proper palm rejection, so the user must keep their hands off the screen while utilizing the stylus.

  • u can actually hold it in one hand ?? :O

  • anybody knows 3g 32gig flyer edition can make phonecalls like samsung galaxy tab?

    i like the pen options!

  • @becooliusbulius No, you can't make phonecalls with it.

  • this is nothing more than a giant HTC android phone, what is so frigging amazing about that?

  • @portalplayer the iPad is nothing but a giant iPhone, and the Galaxy tab is nothing but a giant Galaxy S but they're pretty damn amazing...

  • @portalplayer Can't you say the same exact thing about the iPad and iPhone?

  • i love android!!!

  • it's a nice tablet but in my opinion it looks like a big HTC Desire.....but thats just a small detail......other then that its great =D

  • @Danny940304

I think they're just trying to keep the design consistent so it's easier for people to recognize that hey, that's an HTC device. The design doesn't fit the tablet as well, though, since it really highlights the big bezel. But yeah, that really is a small detail, lol. I like the stylus support, it allows you to really take advantage of the tablet form factor.

By the way, does anyone know if this'll ever get a Honeycomb update?

  • awesome tablet! nice alternative to the ipad.

  • Comment removed

  • is this a phone too?

  • When is it coming to AMERICA? Come on guys...whats going on? This is HOT..stay on it.

  • 6 point multi-touch? My hands only have 5 appendages on each.

  • wow !! need this capacitive pen ! .. ALL the other capacitive pens for artists are bulky and dont have such a nice tip :(

  • cool thing.. very handy for university taking note

  • What about battery life????

  • it looks really slow

  • wtf 0.55 do what ever you wanted????

  • I'm waiting for the Asus eee transfomer that I pre ordered. Asus just moved the release date back again :-(

  • its like a smaller smartboard :D

  • ipad 2 , galaxy tab 10.1 or htc flyer and why

  • Don't get me wrong, I'm a massive android fanboy but.. for the time being Noteslate to me, seems like a more attractive and defined product, which for $99 bucks is crazy value for money

  • can we use that pen in other tablets and smartphones??

  • @lDaNtEMaYCrYMl : Nope

  • a pen and 7inch! that's exactly what I was hoping from the ipad2 as an artist looking for a digital sketchbook, apparently apple still doesn't realize a pen changes it all. I wish it was pressure sensitive though, such a shame.

  • @elduderino075 : it is pressure sensitive

  • @ripper1323 well it clearly isn't on any of the videos I have seen, look how even the stroke always is.

maybe it is software related and I haven't seen videos with a pressure sensitive enabled application?

  • I'm buying one...when it's available with Honeycomb 3.0 Android OS. This product is a category-killer. HTC rocks the digital connectivity space!

  • The guy sounds like WWE superstar Wade Barrett!

  • DOA

  • @tardis1996 If the pen could scratch the screen I would be afraid of what else could scratch it. I'm sure pen does NOT scratch the screen that would be the biggest design flaw I've ever seen.

  • I need this!!!!

  • yes 1.3mp

  • Well yeah it has a front camera: he's showing it in the movie doesn't he?

Anyway, you can't miss it if you watch closer.

  • I want one! :D

  • does it have a front facing camera? and can u use skype w video on it?

  • @loverslush Yep, it actually gets a preinstalled skype.

  • Mmm. Cos the pen thingy isn't a gimmick...

  • This thing I's dum and pointless

  • @joka3001 *Dumb

  • any one know what the live wallpaper was in the commercial

  • now we wait for se tabled

  • this sucks

  • sorry HTC it's just not good enough. It isn't even better than the things we already have in our pockets. Looks very good, but the screen isn't as good as i'd hoped for. But what the hell, I'll end up buying one anyways.. Hate the Ipad, and therefore HTC haven't really got any competition. don't get me started on the Galaxy Tab... that's just sad with is't 2.3 A. Htc promised that when this one comes on sale (as of today) it has Android 3.0

  • @FanzyHanzy They wanted it to be released as fast as possible so that's why it's running 2.3, but don't worry it'll get Honeycomb soon =)

  • I didn't know Gerard Butler worked for HTC.

  • Cool, so useful for me in art work, i got Desire, Desire HD, and Flyer, waiting 4 u baby XD

  • The guy from phone dog is annoying. let the man show the the tablet. ugh.. i hate when reviewers act like that at these shows.

  • His hands on lol

  • A BLACK SCRIBE in all the over vids its white

  • Wait nvm is does!!

  • Does this also have a back camera?

  • @Vvvvvidgirl334 yes 5 Mpeg front. 1.3 Mpeg back

  • Sucks just like the rest of the android tablets.

  • I like the pen aspect, but the screen is too small and it doesn't sport Honeycomb...I dunno about this one...

  • Is this coming to America?

  • It's all about the iPad -perfection-

  • Smart idea, blackout Tale of Two Cities. Hated that book!!!

  • This thing is gonna eat other "me too" devices for breakfast.

  • it's a android 2.4 tablet

  • no honeycomb then its still desire hd 7

  • why is everybody complaing about the single core. if it works smoothly? really dont get it. for me personally the stylus is the reason why i go for the flyer. it really makes the differenz, i can imagine how usefull it will be at work. but i do hope that honeycomb will follow

  • @yanosfromswitzerland Nothing can replace a tool with you can actually write, draw, do diagrams, sketches etc etc. Try making fast notes on an iPad. Totally agree with you man, the stylus takes this tablet to a whole new level.

  • @yanosfromswitzerland the problem why people complaining about single core is because the Honey comb requirement is Dual core processors.

  • @yanosfromswitzerland I hope there are going to be comparison reviews of this processor with the Flyer vs. dual core 1.0GHz using Honeycomb (Acer Iconia A100?).

  • @yanosfromswitzerland maybe because if an app comes out that allows you to rip a dvd (for example) a single core will be dedicated to that task and you can do nothing else on the tablet except at a snails pace etc etc etc etc etc

  • @yanosfromswitzerland smooth? lmao, check samsung galaxy s 2 now that's smooth ;)

  • @yanosfromswitzerland no thx, I don't like lag when working, also no lag stylus :)

  • Wow HTC tablet.Looks nice =)

  • i dont know why but i i think that touchscreen sucks

  • @slantblant Well have you ever tried to play with those "tablets" with stock Android 2.2 Froyo?

  • hahaha this same guy is in the htc incredible s vid with noah

  • great way to end the video!

    "No flash?

    no :("

  • Bring out a 10-12" Version of this and I'm sold!!
