Ouch. I haven't played EB so I don't know exactly how aggressive the AI will be towards you, but your best bet might just be disbanding most of the army and trying to get out of debt and either buying some ships and going elsewhere, or trying to build up your economy.
PS. If I can build more rams than I think I'll need in one turn, I still build them and just put them off to the side during deployment phase in case I need them. A little late now, but just a thought.
@xsithspawnx Yeah I know it sucks, but I already have played past this point, and let me tell you that that does not happen. I could've disbanded my entire army, but then it would still take me, at the least, 40 turns to get back into the positives.
I also didn't build more rams cause I could only build one a turn, and in EB, your armies can suffer with supply issues, so I didn't want my men losing more morale or even dying off just so I could build more rams than I thought I'd need.
