My son hasn't been to a summer encampment yet. His experience at winter encampment has him give this advice:

Double check to make sure that you have EVERYTHING on the packing list, because even though some of the stuff sounds ridiculous, you'll end up needing it.

If you're shy, bring a swimsuit for the shower.

Don't worry about being homesick. You'll end up being too busy to be homesick!

Practice making your bed. Look up regulation bed making. :0
