  • and go on to make a new record he did! :D

  • towards the end of ATDI Omar and Cedric we really into ambient, and dub music reference: (the live recording of one armed scissor on Letterman, listen to how ambient Omar's guitar is from Jim's, the contrast they had was great because Jim's style was clean cut, and really polished smooth. Omar was different, loud, ambient. ATDI's break-up was because of musical difference, so Cedric and Omar made De Facto and was extremely underground

  • Please, look up the definition of irony. It's not ironic at all. It's a coincidence.

  • Notice the irony at the end when Jim says maybe they'll stop touring in 2-3 years...

  • It's closer to 2-3 months.

  • el paso wooooo!

  • @alackofoxygen89 ahhhh yee :)

  • The reason why ATDI broke up was because omar and cedric got tired of that style of musik they wanted to expand their boundaries while the rest of the grew pretty much wanted to stay the same play punk and be famous while pretty much omar and cedric had an opposite idea they wanted to do different things, play different styles of musik(which they do amazingly) thats jus wat i've gathered from watchin ALOT of interviews and live performances and jus listenin to the musik pretty much :D

  • Which is pretty funny because now mars volta are more famous than anything jim or tony is doing.

  • out of curiosity... why does everyone find jim annoying???

  • *shrug* I like him. And I like his band. But in the Mars Volta context, he's pretty lame. I mean, he's the reason ATDI broke up, because he was listening to U2 and Jimmy Eat World while Omar and Cedric wanted to push the band further.

  • Jim, Paul, and Tony were happy with the band and the way it was going. Omar and Cedric got tired of making that music and left to do their own thing. Cedric stated that he was responsible for the band's breakup

  • wow, Jim actually predicted the future for the band... thats creepy.. like.. he wanted to destroy ATDI!!! lol... just kidden....but still creepy

  • jims has a wales backround not puerto rican thats omar and cedric is mexican-american. and jim was necessary in atdi but yes very annoying i dont really like him but at the drive-in would not have been at the drive-in without him. he was a co-founder along with cedric

  • not to mention jim could scream

  • jeremy ward was jim's cousin and they are both white u dousches!

  • HAHA who the fuck is jeremy lol.

  • Jeremy Ward was a member of the Mars Volta....he's dead.

  • i was talking about in the vid.

  • they dedicated frances the mute to him

    small world huh

  • thats fucking jim ward you asshole

  • True

  • respect the dead, or you'll join them sooner than you think...

  • do humanity a favor and shut the fuck up beth. you don't know what the fuck your're talking about.

  • Thats not jeremy thats jim! Jim ward played with atd-i and jeremy ward (they're cousins btw) helped do the first mars volta album (he was the sound manipulator).

  • And jeremy was the lead vocal in defacto

  • and cedric played drums

    funny how things work out

  • No, you never see PAUL in interviews, hahah. I still beleive that Paul is almost 100% mute, lol. :]

  • Tony too man... never see them in anything

  • WHAT?! I never see Omar interviews, always CEdric

  • thats because omar isnt a founder

  • Omar is much more shy and timid, he is a man with few words :)

  • Awesome :) you don't see much of Cedric in interviews, mainly Omar... good to see.
