@Warf3reHD thats just an example you start with 1000 credits which can be used to build a single spike strip each, earning enough credits to build what they had there could take about 40 waves easy and you have to level each fortification up on its own they were given about 50,000 credits so they could show off the features

this is definitely way better than COD, though even Halo beats COD and i think just because of this mode (That Halo did imitate) this will be better than Halo also.

Horde is unplayable now.
Seriously on a standert game, people wil leave after 5 waves.
They don't upgrade, seriously they hold their money back and don't contribute.
They steal kills, don't pick you up, and don't even use their microfoon.
F Horde 2.0, they should have kept Horde like it was in gow2.

this is definitely way better than COD, though even Halo beats COD and i think just because of this mode (That Halo did imitate) this will be better than Halo also.
GOW is sure keeping their own when trying to be unique.

Gears has set the standards for gaming today, from games using the cover mechanics, relad timing, and more! After they revolutionized gaming with horde, then zombies followed in cod, then firefight in halo and now survival in mw3....what does that tell you? every major contending title has taken a page out of the gears of war handbook and gears still evovles in its own original ways. Gears of war is the best console game yet to date....its that simple!

@papelbon05092008 kill switch was the one that set the standard for a cover system. gears 2 and cod waw were released in the same year and cod waw had a longer developement time. and if you go to reviews its not even in the top ten games this generation........... its that simple!

@silver1239 ok killswitch introduced the cover system but gears popularized it. Nobody followed suit until gears became a force to be reckoned with.How was killswtches multiplayer component? And when is killswitch 3 coming out? Just because a game isnt in the top ten review doesnt make it worse of a game or any less popular. @papelbon05092008 i have gears 1 and 2 and played 3s beta i like 1 but 2 sucked and 3 is looking good.killswitch didnt introduce the cover system it was the first to perfect it even epic games said they took the idea for there cover system from killswitch and it was on ps2.i have past experience with gears its not that amazing its god but not amazing.

@silver1239 well everyone is entitled to their own opinion so im sure some people would agree with you and im not biased towards gears either, i own all halos and cod's but i personally feel gears always takes a good step towards the future and immediately has solutions for any occuring problems in multiplayer and ive been gaming for 20 years since i was 3 so i just have a large amount of respect for gears' capability of what it is that they do thats all
