looks like the lady was a fresh driver, having basic problems with using gas/brake: 1) she drives into the picture too fast (compare her speed with motion of the gate-opener) and has to stop rapidly; 2) when trying to move, she is too gentle with gas and accidentally stops the engine (notice the car tilting); 3) she re-starts the engine and, possibly anxious not to stop it again, she pushes the gas hard - much too hard.

PS: I think the man opening the gate was really lucky.
