@goofyreligion3 I know several marathon runners that drink Hemp milk everyday, if you say its bad, I guess your right, how do you feel about Fresh Green Soy beans? not processed tofu and soy milks they are bad!
@goofyreligion3 WRONG again!, Hemp has been consumed for thousands of years!!! In China and India everything from Flour to Tea, and its rich in Omega 3..almonds have been crushed and made into Tea for just as long! these are not Fake Drinks!!!. And yes Raw Milk is Healthier, But not necessary for optimum health ! Ancient Hawaiians Never DRANK MILK!!!
@goofyreligion3 Plenty of cultures NEVER DRANK MILK EVER!! Native Americans had never even seen cows or sheep! australian aborigines never drank milk! only up to about 100 years ago! and they lived to very old ages! I said I agree, Raw milk is much healthier, But you don't need Milk at all. There are plenty of other more absorbable sources of calcium.
@goofyreligion3 Every damn allergy can be connected to Animal MILK!!! Dont be so stubborn and ignorant!! are you a dairy farmer? the dairy industry in the USA is a poisonous mess of chemicals and hormones!!
@goofyreligion3 Raw milk is healthier, But you You don't need animal milk at all for strong bones!, the native americans never drank any sort of animal Milk!!!. and were healthier than the europeans that arrived! and they had been drinking Milk!, I have not drank milk in 10 plus years!, I take a coral calcium pill every mourning, and Drink HEMP milk!, or almond milk, which has the same amount of calcium!! You are Very wrong! I lost 50lb and ran my first marathon! I feel great!
@goofyreligion3 Animal Milk is Poison!! Drink Hemp Milk!! There are better more absorbable sources of calcium!! such as vegetables and coral calcium .. and Gluten is Poison as well..!!!!
Come on people. Raw Milk is the best type of milk to drink and no word about it. Your going to tell me that pasteurized milk is better. Humans have been drinking milk for thousands of years now! Only the past 100 years man have been pasteurizing milk. You know why there is no current research on raw milk because no one is going to spend money to do it. Instead the government will spend money on researching medication that will "benefit" your health. please look for the truth people.
There is a prevalence of bacterial foodborne pathogens in milk and in the dairy environment, issues associated with foodborne pathogens and food intoxications. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15992306
California requires a legal limit of 10 coliforms (fecal bacteria) per ml of raw milk, the same as for pasteurized milk. However, no other states have this strict law.
No evidence supports raw milk having any health benefits.
So enjoy your nice cold glass of pus, blood, mucus, estrogens, & shit!!
@gongoozler18 First, that link didn't work. Secondly when someone says "there's no evidence" that can either mean that it has been proven to not have benefit or that it hasn't been studied. I can't find a single study in pubmed comparing raw vs pasteurized milk for any resultant difference. If you know of them I'd be interested. From what I can tell, the fears of infection are enough to dissuade specific research into this plus the fact that there would be no money in finding a benefit to it
@fadmacat Then type ''ww w.'' first. And when I say there's no evidence, uh, I mean there is...(drum roll)...no evidence. There is no semantics being played around here. A PubMed search revealed no peer-reviewed scientific articles supporting the health benefits of raw milk, but several detailing its health risks, especially for pregnant women & children & those whose immune system is compromised! Also, there are many research studies saying people should limit, if not, exclude dairy altogether.
@johnny75803 Sorry, I meant that there was no study by that number (the link itself is not broken). The health risks have been known about for eternity, as with any raw food. But no one can say that there aren't potential benefits, because it hasn't been studied formally. And regarding dairy, raw milk is not even remotely the same thing that you buy in the store.
@fadmacat Your comprehension skills are below normal, special ed. You're slow. ever since early 1900s, researchers have been concerned about dairy carrying deadly, infectious pathogens due to EXPERIMENTATION, you uneducated dunce. Like I said once before, there are several peer-reviewed studies confirming pasteurization kills most pathogens.
Ever since the FDA mandated it be pasteurized foodborne illness and public heath improvements rates have decreased significantly. But it's on the rise now.
@goofyreligion3 You're right about the fat so-called dietitians and health experts have been misleading the public for years, the lie about eating fat will make you fat when they are essential to good health and the real culprit "sugar/carbohydrates" is downplayed. The war on fat is partly responsible for the obesity epidemic and I'm pleased to see that raw milk is staging a comeback.
Homogenization breaks the fat particles in milk into bits so small they cross directly into your blood stream, scratching the walls of your arteries. Then cholesteral, which is in everyone's blood, accumulates on the walls of the arteries in an effort to smooth them out again, kind of like wall plaster.
@goofyreligion3 And you never ''used to be'' lactose-deficient. Lactose-intolerance is due to genetics. cells in intestines read the lactase recipe and it. When someone becomes lactose intolerant, their body can't find the gene anymore. you can't really build up an immunity to milk’s sugar lactose. People who can drink milk, particularly, Northern Europeans as an adult have a DNA mutation. Some children lose the ability to lactase as early as 3, and some at 20, some in their 60s, or never
@goofyreligion3 You sound like the genius that believes all the hype USDA and dairy industry claim about milk. Do you have reading comprehension problems? You need the enzyme LACTASE to break down lactose, not any other enzymes supposedly present in milk. Lactase is made in certain cells in the lining of your intestine. kids make lactase because they have a working lactase gene and are breastfeeding. All people undergo weaning early in life. But then, over time, most of them lose that ability.
@goofyreligion3 And humans have not thrived on raw milk products for a very long time. Lactose-intolerance is an evolutionary norm. Studies have found that only populations around the world that herd their own mammals (for meat or production of milk) still remain lactose-tolerant. Lactose-intolerance is common is Northern Europe, however this doesn't mean they should be drinking it. in fact, Of the world's population, 75% of people are lactose intolerant!
@goofyreligion3 Wrong! Phosphatase is an enzyme that removes phosphate group!! Phosphorus is a major component of bone. Calcium Phosphate salt is a major structural component of bone. There's no evidence that raw milk has substantially more nutritional benefits than pasteurized milk. Phosphorus is found in most foods because it is a critical component of all living organisms. phosphorus is also a component of many food additives and is present in most soft drinks as phosphoric acid also.
@goofyreligion3 Yet, you falsely believe cow's milk promotes bone health even though there is no CONCLUSIVE evidence. Many, many nutritional journals for over the past 40-50 years have been refuting milk has only negative health effects on humans. It's great for cows because its need for growth and development. However, due to factory farm, young calves are taken away from their mothers & are fed artificial hormones and gmo feed. So, what scholarly articles do you read to get info? Milk is fat.
@goofyreligion3 Eating just one high-fat meal can quickly prevent “good” cholesterol from protecting the body against clogged arteries. There are no reputable studies arguing that prolong high intakes of sat fats are healthy. Saturated fat has long been linked to the buildup of plaque that can lead to heart attacks and strokes. HDL protects arteries from the inflammation that leads to artery-clogging plaques. & plaque hurts the ability of arteries to expand to carry blood to tissues and organs.
STupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! There are some fruits &vegetable oils containing high amounts of saturated fats like palm oils avocados, some nuts, coconuts, etc. But, There's no evidence or studies that. says that high intake of polyunsaturated fats of heart disease. Sugars causes heart disease?
@goofyreligion3 you've already posted research showing this? Where is it and what gives you any qualifications or credentials to be trusted? There is a correlation. Research has PROVEN there's a link! I don't where in the world you get the idea that I should believe you. also, I'm not saying that saturated fats in general are a bad thing. I'm aware humans need some amount of sat fats daily, but not from milk seeing that just from 1 cup, it represent 33& of your daily of value of saturated fats.
@goofyreligion3 STupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! @goofyreligion3 Oh my lord, you are the most gullible tool that I have ever heard. Don't believe everything that you read from those questionable websites that you frequent. Why can't people drink raw milk in its natural state? Why are the many People who only drink pasteurized milk say they don't drink raw milk? It is the government and the dairy industry conditioning you drones to believe milk is beneficial to bone health. Of course, the government wants to you to buy milk, seeing that billions of dollars are spent every a year on subsidies. i bought a pasteurized milk a few days ago, it is stale have to throw it away what a waste of money. and this is not the first time i've encountered stale milk..

Raw milk may be less full of artificial toxins - but it is still an extremely dubious substance for humans to ingest. From my research since 1988 I can tell you plainly that milk (and all products synthesized from milk including butter, cream, cheese, ice cream, yogurt) is quite enervating to the human body and is linked to more serious health issues than can be listed here. Please do your own research and get your own informed answers.
@precoded you may have done your own research for all that time (and fair play and hats of to you for doing so) however you must ask how reliable were your sources of info and also its 2010 now not 1988 and they have discovered that they were wrong about some things they thought and right about others and discovered new things about the subject. even if you are the scientist doing the experiments you need to remember that in science there are always exceptions to the rule
@precoded and therefore what is 'discovered' may not apply (in fact WONT apply) to everyone. personally raw milks never done me any harm, our ancesters drank it and survived and were fine (if they hadnt been we wouldnt be here), therefore im going to continute drinking it.
@precoded Why can't people drink raw milk in its natural state? Why are the many People who only drink pasteurized milk say they don't drink raw milk? If this is true. You all owe the mighty cow an apology for killing it and eating it. All this time the cow was trying to tell you all to drink milk by saying "Miiiiiilk" and some moron thought the cow was saying "Moooo" and killed it then ate it.
I would be grateful to know why humans are the only mammals on Earth that have to insist on this terrible and retrograde mistake, namely drinking milk (raw or industrialised which are produced mostly by animals that evolutionarily speaking have little to do with homo sapiens. Not only is this anthropogenic trait environmentally unsustainable, but also nutritiously fallacious. Cow milk is naturally designed to feed calf, not humans, let alone children.
@emmj My cat and dog love to drink milk and will sit and wait, licking their lips as I milk my cow. I'm sure if they were capable they'd milk her themselves.
Also some homo sapiens HAVE evolved to drink milk. Adult human lactose tolerance is about 5% naturally but is at almost 100% in some human populations, northern Europeans being one of them. The reason lactose tolerance is so ubiquitous? All humans in those areas who couldn't digest milk died. The humans that did drink milk lived.
The dairy industry is an extension of the beef industry, which means it plays a major role in creating climate change. The dairy industry uses cows before passing them on to be slaughtered by the beef industry which is now recognized as an environmental nightmare. According to a UN report, cows are contributors to climate change. Accounting for putting out 18% of the worlds CO2, cows emit more greenhouse gases than cars, planes, and all other forms of transportation combined.
There are other sources of nutrients that are allegedly present in lactic produces which have a much lower carbon path and are much more nutritious. In fact, average dairy cow produces 120 pounds of waste/day, equal to that of more than 24 people, but without toilets, sewers, or treatment plants.
Grow up and away from animal dependency. What a bunch of childish people. Still sucking teet. Ween yourselves from meat. Look at yourselves. Eat plants. What you got to be told everything. Jeesh.
All my life, I've been extremely allergic to milk. Recently, however, I read in a book on alternative dentristry that raw milk is outstanding for overall health, and I managed to locate some in my local Whole Foods store.
...Well, to make a long story short, I've been drinking it for three days straight now, and I feel amazing. No allergy whatsoever!
I swear to you, it worked. But you need to make sure that if you drink raw milk, that it is from ONLY grass-fed Guernsey cows, or from sheep or goats, and that it is FRESH.
Try taking digestive enzymes before you eat... I'm finding that, very often, allergies happen in people who have weak digestive abilities, because the food particles remain large and undigested and, as such, biochemically resemble invasive pathogens.
@TheLogicJunkie that's amazing! it's been 2 years since u posted a comment, are you still drinking raw milk? and what other benefits-if any- have you seen?
@tomasbermea Well, since I moved back to the east coast, I've not been able to get any more raw milk, but I do occasionally get to have raw milk cheese, and I have no reaction to it whatsoever. Also, I've discovered that there are two forms of dairy, called A1 and A2, and that dairy animals bearing the A1 gene -- specifically, the Holstein breed of cow, which is largely used in German cultures -- has been implicated in heart disease, cancer, and a whole host of other things.
On the other hand, the A2 gene -- found in sheep, goat, and the Jersey and Guernsey breed of cows -- is predominantly used in places like Iceland and New Zealand, and does not produce the same health problems. When A2 dairy animals are grass-fed and their milk unpasteurized, the health benefits of drinking that milk is excellent. and far, far superior to the pasteurized forms.

btw raw milk contains alooooooot of milk fat, it will slowly but certain block ur artilierys and give you a heart attack.
sorry for bad english.
raw milk contains aloot of fat, its not good for a human to cosume aloot of raw milk.
Besides, it is not the FAT that clogs your arteries! Perhaps you should do a little studying before you type something this stupid... If you are not educated, please go to Huffington post blog and stay with your friend, you silly little liberal!
Can't figure out if you're trying to be funny, AFBA, or just ignorant. Homogenization has nothing to do with pasteurization, which is the issue here. Neither pasteurization nor homogenization has an effect on the fat content of milk; you can easily skim the cream off the top of whole raw milk and make it "skim" if that suits your fancy. Hmm, let's see.. Good bacteria, essential enzymes, vitamins and minerals all present in raw milk and destroyed in pasteurized milk. Who's the moron?

@precoded and therefore what is 'discovered' may not apply (in fact WONT apply) to everyone. personally raw milks never done me any harm, our ancesters drank it and survived and were fine (if they hadnt been we wouldnt be here), therefore im going to continute drinking it.
1anon8 1 year ago
@precoded Why can't people drink raw milk in its natural state? Why are the many People who only drink pasteurized milk say they don't drink raw milk? It is the government and the dairy industry conditioning you drones to believe milk is beneficial to bone health. Of course, the government wants to you to buy milk, seeing that billions of dollars are spent every a year on subsidies. Bottom line: No matter how many biased studies you read, There is no evidence that milk promotes bone health.

Cow milk is naturally designed to feed calf, not humans, let alone children.
emmj 1 year ago

Accounting for putting out 18% of the worlds CO2, cows emit more greenhouse gases than cars, planes, and all other forms of transportation combined.
emmj 1 year ago

TheLogicJunkie 2 years ago 6
you gotta have an extra income just to compensate for that "alternate food" lifestyle

is this really true, please tell me you're not kidding, i am going to try it too. Thanks for the info.
scotthornback 2 years ago
I swear to you, it worked. But you need to make sure that if you drink raw milk, that it is from ONLY grass-fed Guernsey cows, or from sheep or goats, and that it is FRESH.
TheLogicJunkie 2 years ago
thank you so much, because i have really bad allergies and need all the help i can get.
scotthornback 2 years ago
Try taking digestive enzymes before you eat... I'm finding that, very often, allergies happen in people who have weak digestive abilities, because the food particles remain large and undigested and, as such, biochemically resemble invasive pathogens.
TheLogicJunkie 2 years ago
I'll try doing that, thanks again, alot.
scotthornback 2 years ago
@TheLogicJunkie that's amazing! it's been 2 years since u posted a comment, are you still drinking raw milk? and what other benefits-if any- have you seen?
tomasbermea 5 months ago
@tomasbermea Well, since I moved back to the east coast, I've not been able to get any more raw milk, but I do occasionally get to have raw milk cheese, and I have no reaction to it whatsoever. Also, I've discovered that there are two forms of dairy, called A1 and A2, and that dairy animals bearing the A1 gene -- specifically, the Holstein breed of cow, which is largely used in German cultures -- has been implicated in heart disease, cancer, and a whole host of other things.
TheLogicJunkie 5 months ago
On the other hand, the A2 gene -- found in sheep, goat, and the Jersey and Guernsey breed of cows -- is predominantly used in places like Iceland and New Zealand, and does not produce the same health problems. When A2 dairy animals are grass-fed and their milk unpasteurized, the health benefits of drinking that milk is excellent. and far, far superior to the pasteurized forms.

sorry for bad english.
raw milk contains aloot of fat, its not good for a human to cosume aloot of raw milk.
its fact.
god damn tre huggers.

Have you ever heard of RAW SKIM MILK?
Besides, it is not the FAT that clogs your arteries! Perhaps you should do a little studying before you type something this stupid... If you are not educated, please go to Huffington post blog and stay with your friend, you silly little liberal!
rkrvaric 2 years ago
Can't figure out if you're trying to be funny, AFBA, or just ignorant. Homogenization has nothing to do with pasteurization, which is the issue here. Neither pasteurization nor homogenization has an effect on the fat content of milk; you can easily skim the cream off the top of whole raw milk and make it "skim" if that suits your fancy. Hmm, let's see.. Good bacteria, essential enzymes, vitamins and minerals all present in raw milk and destroyed in pasteurized milk. Who's the moron?
tofumommy 2 years ago
homoganized milk is pasturized too
