i have this same sub man what is the rms rate i bought it for 200 from this guy but i cant fiind this exact sub on rd site the dude said 1500 - 2000 is it rated for more
do you like the rd alpha or would you spend the extra $100 dollars and get the fi btl?
Nice set up i was think on getting the same or just get 3 10'' L7 from my buddy. How much did you spend for the sub too. I taked to some people on forms and said 300.
hey got a question, as i can see u got subs in your ford escape... i've just got me one of these suv, does ur back glass can handle it or u've already broke one ? i read the backglass of theses truck was really weak, is it true ?
no problem whatsoever. Its a pretty solid car I nothing in it really rattles too much other than the plastic part at the 'ceiling' of the car where you can put your garage door opener or glasses or whatever.
damn lol. dats nice. so did u need a new alternator? i got a escape with the stock (shit) sub and i wanna get rid of it. how much power can i draw from that stock 110 amp alternator without killing it or the battery? do ur lights dim when u hit the sounds?
well the amp claims to put out 2000wrms at 1 ohm, which ive heard is overrated, but I have a 2 gauge wire running to my amp so im guessin im gettting a minimum of 1500wrms out of it.
I also have a completely stock electrical system and Ive yet to have my lights even flicker. When the door is open, the over head light will dim but thats it. Sounds unlikely I know, but somehow it happens.
That's good news lol. Thanks. If u can run this animal subwoofer with stock electricals then I definately should have no problem running two 12" rockford p2's With a 800 or 1000 watt peak amp.
i agree. its a 1 ohm stable amp. i have a hifonics bxi1210d for like a year now, and been running it at 1 ohm for over half that time and not one problem.

Have you tried sub up port back?
I just switched my box from sub up port up to sub up port back. IT made a HUGE difference.
I've always had much better luck in SUVs with the port firing at the hatch..

@englshmn well currently I have the sub facing toward the hatch and the port up. I am pretty happy with that. I like it better than the sub up.

you should be better with 2 oHM.. 1 will kill ur AMP.. just trust me on that and if you dont beleive me. whebn ur amp goes to shit remember me:D
detroitPOWER 2 years ago
Well Ok you can only wire a 2ohm DVC to 4 or 1 ohm, so 2 isnt even an option, and my amp is stable at 1 ohm, so I think its straight
