Really, the only way you get cooling for the last 11 years is if you use a point at '98 and then look at today. You use data from '99 til today you get warming, so it is more explain 1998 then explain global cooling. The reason for the spike in 1998 was a combination of a strong El Nino year and a high level of solar magnetic activity. Both the El Nino/La Nina and solar magnetic activity are cycles and where the are both at there peak at the same time we get a spike.
On a year to year bases, it will always look like El Nino/La Nina and solar magnetic activity cycles are the main controlling effect changing global temps. Increase in CO2 levels happen slowly of decades and will only change temps by 2-4'C over 100 years by most accounts. That would be 0.02-0.04'C per year, so the fact that we don't see it is not shocking, but that does not make it any less real.
Let's see, it really really cold in Alaska now (-32F) and the scientist talking about global warm are talking about a +5'C (or 9F) change in global temps at most. That would mean it would be -23F, which is still REALY cold. The fact that people don't understand this does not make Al Gore wrong, it just shows ppl stupidity. If global warming from where to make a 5'F difference already, it we would have to see a +50'F change in the next 100 years, fortunately that is not the case.

Climate change does not happen quickly, as melting polar ice caps help to cool our planet and regulate its temperature (similar to a cup of ice water sitting out in the hot sun). However, if our ice caps become too small the situation will accelerate out of control and we will see real weather changes (right now they are subtle changes).
The sun dictates the temperature of the earth. Look it up. If man does have an effect on global temperatures, I doubt anything can be done to significantly change it, especially not without exploitation/ raping of the people.

While methane is a more effective green house gas (12 time that of CO2), there is about 1/200 the amount of methane then CO2. Also, methane levels are not expected to increase dramatically unlike CO2, in the next 100 years.

Think of the forests that burned before we started fighting forest fires, hundreds of years ago. Whole areas were naturally deforested, by nature and people. We are still here and we now have more trees than we had 200 years ago. Tahoe in cal. was completely deforested... Today you wouldn't know it
Thank you sir... I'm old enough to remember what things were like in the 50's and 60's... Just about everyone heated their homes with coal burning furnaces. I remember the coal bin in our house. I went to Park City Utah in the 60's to visit Grandpa and grandma.. She cooked on a wood stove, and burned coal to heat the house. Everyone up there did. We had to take showers when be got home because we were covered in coal dust. You have no idea how polluted we were back then.

The last ice age (of many) was 18,000 years ago. The next one will be between 30-50 thousand years from now. We are just between ice ages. The main cause is a fluctuation in Earth's orbit. Further on the volcanoes. Not only is this false, it couldn't possibly be true given the CO2 record from any of the dozens of sampling stations around the globe. If it were true that individual volcanic eruptions dominated human emissions and were causing the rise in CO2 concentrations, then these CO2 records would be full of spikes -- one for each eruption. Instead, such records show a smooth and regular trend.
Man-made climate change is a lie. CO2 is not a driving factor. The correlation in ice core records is REVERSED (CO2 goes up 200yrs AFTER temperature increase). Also, mankind's contribution to global CO2 is insignificant (dwarfed by CO2 released from oceans and volcanoes).
Solar activity is the ONLY contributing factor to worldwide temperature. The "consensus" is a lie from the IPCC.

Really, the only way you get cooling for the last 11 years is if you use a point at '98 and then look at today. You use data from '99 til today you get warming, so it is more explain 1998 then explain global cooling. The reason for the spike in 1998 was a combination of a strong El Nino year and a high level of solar magnetic activity. Both the El Nino/La Nina and solar magnetic activity are cycles and where the are both at there peak at the same time we get a spike.

On a year to year bases, it will always look like El Nino/La Nina and solar magnetic activity cycles are the main controlling effect changing global temps. Increase in CO2 levels happen slowly of decades and will only change temps by 2-4'C over 100 years by most accounts. That would be 0.02-0.04'C per year, so the fact that we don't see it is not shocking, but that does not make it any less real.

Let's see, it really really cold in Alaska now (-32F) and the scientist talking about global warm are talking about a +5'C (or 9F) change in global temps at most. That would mean it would be -23F, which is still REALY cold. The fact that people don't understand this does not make Al Gore wrong, it just shows ppl stupidity. If global warming from where to make a 5'F difference already, it we would have to see a +50'F change in the next 100 years, fortunately that is not the case.

The concern is that, even if CLIMATE is changing by a little, over time it could be enough to screw things up. Of course its cold as hell in Alaska in winter, global warming doesn't mean that it's going to become like Arizona...

Climate change does not happen quickly, as melting polar ice caps help to cool our planet and regulate its temperature (similar to a cup of ice water sitting out in the hot sun). However, if our ice caps become too small the situation will accelerate out of control and we will see real weather changes (right now they are subtle changes).

The great Permian extinction is a great example of what we could eventually become. A rise in the temperature of the planet will change the strength & paths of jet streams and the huge deep ocean currents that encircle the globe and will result in extreme weather worldwide. The current extreme weather over the Northern Hemisphere is due to a weakness in the Polar Jet Stream. This is an example of what to expect in the future.

Thank you sir... I'm old enough to remember what things were like in the 50's and 60's... Just about everyone heated their homes with coal burning furnaces. I remember the coal bin in our house. I went to Park City Utah in the 60's to visit Grandpa and grandma.. She cooked on a wood stove, and burned coal to heat the house. Everyone up there did. We had to take showers when be got home because we were covered in coal dust. You have no idea how polluted we were back then.

@AcusticDave Because, the atmosphere reflects what's going on all over the world. The oceans will warm and cool, and in turn that affects warming and cooling. Methane at the bottom of the ocean is released and come to the surface of the ocean.. that has an affect to.. We, as humans have a very small affect. Volcanoes have more to do with climate than humans. All I'm saying is. We've had warming and we've had cooling.. before there were humans. The earth will be fine. We will be fine.

@AcusticDave Didn't say Volcanoes emitted CO2.. they emit dust and particulates into the upper atmosphere that travels around the world. Those particulates can have a cooling affect on the earth by blocking the sun.. like sunglasses. Sorry didn't mean to imply CO2 was emitted from them.

Not only that but humans have reproduced at an alarming rate and we emit CO2 just by breathing. Each time 2 babies are born for every 1 death that baby is adding to CO2 emissions.
Each time a car turns on adds to CO2 emissions as well.
It's a steady climb, not a drastic one.

The last ice age (of many) was 18,000 years ago. The next one will be between 30-50 thousand years from now. We are just between ice ages. The main cause is a fluctuation in Earth's orbit. So, those frightened about global warning, wait till you see what's coming, it will be a whopper! It amazes me how peons think they they or we can affect the Earth's climate. The things that actually cause climate change are billions of times more forecful than mere mortals like us. Silly people. Wake up!

So, when people talk about global warming, they are talking about a change of a few degree C in the next 100 years. But you think we should have some concern on what the earth might be like 30,000 year from now? What was man kind doing 5,000 years ago? What tech did they have? What tech might we have 5,000 years from now? How about 20,000 year from now. Thing we might be able to change the global temp to stop a ice age if we wanted to, hell, we can do that today!

Lets see.. EVERY BIT OF IT. First, they use models that mke assumptions that can't be verified, Next they use different data reading methods. If I am going to say that earth was a certain temp. 250 years ago I must use the same method to tell me what the temp. is today. Today more and more places are going into the data mix, far more than 250 years ago.

Global warming "science" is not there to be able to make any definitive statements. It's not much beyond a guess right now. For example, this "science" is typical a measure of CO2 and then wola! However, there's so many factors that are in play that the science isn't even close to knowing. Sun spots, the Earths orbit which we know does change and we also know these changes bring on ice ages that has occurred many, many times in Earth's history. The idea that this is man made is arrogant!

I'm pretty sure volcanoes do not spew more CO2 than humans and their automobile. I'm pretty sure life contributes the most CO2 in the air, seeing as we exhale it.

Further on the volcanoes. Not only is this false, it couldn't possibly be true given the CO2 record from any of the dozens of sampling stations around the globe. If it were true that individual volcanic eruptions dominated human emissions and were causing the rise in CO2 concentrations, then these CO2 records would be full of spikes -- one for each eruption. Instead, such records show a smooth and regular trend.
The graphs agree with me.

Man-made climate change is a lie. CO2 is not a driving factor. The correlation in ice core records is REVERSED (CO2 goes up 200yrs AFTER temperature increase). Also, mankind's contribution to global CO2 is insignificant (dwarfed by CO2 released from oceans and volcanoes).
Solar activity is the ONLY contributing factor to worldwide temperature. The "consensus" is a lie from the IPCC.
Create a political organization (IPCC), give them $millions, and ask them to decide if they need to exist!
