Lee is a joke. he was just stating a'fact' abou Eastwood's film? er...he needs to get HIS fucking facts straight. This movie has created quite a bit of controversy here in Italy. Due to its less-than-heroic depiction of Italian Partisans during the war.

Personally I,both a fan of Spike Lee and an Italian, am glad that he has done so. The partisans were hardly heroic, and wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the help of the American troops. It's about time that left-wing Italians accepted the truth of the matter: it was thanks to America, and not to the partisans, if we were liberated from the Germans.
