I have been using a .22LR, but I am taking out the .223 as if you are a little off with a .22 and just would them the things go back into their hole and then the rest of them stay down there for a while. back when they were a problem on my block, I used my .177 air rifle. 99% of the time it was 1 shot 1 kill. the only time it wasnt, he raised his head right before i pulled the trigger. shot him in the nose. That was horrible. So I took my next shot and put him down. Thats the only time I had a botched "execution" "extermination" whatever you want to call it. after that I started to triple check my shots before I shot.

Nice 10/22! I use a new Redfield 2-7x33 on mine with a ghillie green Hogue stock. I shoot that gun more than all my others combined. I can shoot the cap of a soda pop at 100 yards consistently.
