another video on youtube labeled fog is actually fog again live. Thom in that video says this version wasn't very good...Thom, you are dead wrong. They are both great but this version is perhaps the great thing ever.
I had a strange and beautiful dream last night. It's hard to say it with words - I saw the great LOVE and this song was like a soundtrack. There was some light and warm. Pure feelings. Now I feel like I've discovered some secret.
Good job on the video. I recently made a video for Fog too, using Peter Tscherkassky's experimental short movie Outer Space. I think it goes well with the song. You can check it out in my profile.
You don't expect anyone to get the story, but after reading your description, i can tell you right now alot of people relate to this,it is a good video for a good song, keep it up man.
everywhere i walk, i always find myself singing this sound...dont even give a fuck. Songs like these make me melt, and the video fit so well with the song. Really, fantasitc job.
this is probably the closest radiohead has ever gotten to sounding like sigur rós, thom and the lead singer of sigur rós both have somewhat similar falsettos but what i mean is the sound of the song.
It's really hard to watch this video. I was in the same position as a kid--but instead of hurting my stuffed pigs, I just clang to them. I am very glad that I still have my mother.

I thought this was fairly well done. You leaned a bit too much on the vintage production, but just a bit. It's still a well made video for the song. It's insular like most Radiohead material, but at least the sound is hopeful. So is the clip.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Maybe if some mothers abuse less of their mouths to disenfranchise males, and abuse less of the law to alienate males their would be more fathers around. The amazing thing is that you then have women who turn around and complain about the horrors of a generation of boys that they raised. Under the presumption of their superior selves.
Hmm, while i don't want to ignore your obvious personal frustration I have the feeling you're just generalizing. Sometimes mom's screw up, sometimes dad's, sometimes both, sometimes the kid and sometimes things just happen...
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I am generalizing. Isn't that the point? Wouldn't that be like the way media likes to generalize "Deadbeat dads"? No, let's not investigate some plausible or concievable case by case basis to relate to their absence. Let's not even examine if their might be some justifiable stance as to why one or any might "withhold" payment. No. DEADBEATS. Women and the feminist media are the masters of generalizing men with their sweeping and derisive monickers.
I love this song. It's funny how thom doesn't even like this song. When he did the La Reservoir performance and played "Fog (Again)" he said, "we did a version of this song before but it wasn't that good"
i think what he meant was they screwed up a performance of it at the beginning of the show but ended up playing it again at the end, that's why it's (again).
The bear is the embodiment of his absent father, who fills that absence with toys. The bear was given to little "Eric" as a baby, and it has been his companion ever since. His father placed a picture of both he and Eric inside for eric to take out and view at his leisure. On this particular day, seeing his father in that pic is a spark. Which is really a big deal since that bear was his sidekick. (I don't expect anyone to get any of this out of the film, but it is the backstory.)
hey i love your video!!! its brilliant, and im glad that you've done it on this song...no many people have listened to it its a shame cos it's such a powerful track..very good work!
I feel the message was pretty clear. For the most part that is what I interpreted from this flim. This is very well done and I don't feel you are generalizing too much, when a father isn't there for his son, the son can miss out on vital parts of childhood (the same goes for a mother/daughter relationship). You gave just the right amount of information for viewers to intepret for themselves. Thank you for a well done piece of film!

nikkiben 2 years ago
They are using polyrythms, which is distorting the feeling of 4/4
the second drum beat, which enters around half way thru, is beating out a 7/4, or alternating 3/4-4/4 metre over the fundamental, I think.
