Hit, please don't take offense to this, but you belong in gymnastics, full time devotion. Not to put you on the spot, but you've basically talen some gymnastic elements like the straddle planche pushup and executed them wonderfully. I can't tell you how many times I say to myself that black dudes need to be in gymnastics. We've definitely got the potential for it and you obviously do. You should seriously think about it. I know i am.
I hear black people say, "I want to do gymnastics, but it's too expensive." I feel we should encourage African Americans to get into that sport and not worry about the money so much cause it's worth the investment. So much strength stamina, and knowledge could be gained. As a matter of fact, there's no reason why we shouldn't be in this sport. it's a sport of strength and finesse which we obviously display in other numerous sport discliplines.
I agree with you, I'm in school for Sports Management, and they talk how we need more minorities in the sports field, especially senior management, and teachers with PhD's and doctor's degrees. Sadly, money can be a big obstacle. Perhaps DVD's like this will help them get in shape regardless of financial situation. As far as Hit being in gymnastics, he's like 35, way too old. But he may inspire the next black gymnast who watched this DVD as a kid. Everyone has a calling, maybe this is his.

i can say, since i started doing calisthenics in October, My quality of life has changes. I am steadily improving. I have not felt this good since 2005 when I was in high school!

Mad resprect, but what about the legs? Looked at many of your vids and those of, hannibal, beast and all the other guys.. I see a lot of pull-up, dips and pushup variations (not to forget handstand pushups and core work), but not that many leg exercises.. A shame!

I just got the DVD last night and it just blow my mind on the different type of push and ab workout that HIT, KYZ, and PERFECTIONIST is doing. For those that didn't get the DVD get it asap. It is a DVD you must get if you trying to get ripped or trying to weight. If you cant do none of the workouts now, just keep pushing until to get there. If you need to do everyday than do it. As for me I'm going to try all these workouts and work hard to push loose 20 pounds.
Mine just arrived today! It's EXTREMELY motivating! Just watching Hit go to work makes me want to get off my rear and go bang out some pushups haha. Great music too :D
Yeah I have all their DVDs. Hit is really a leader in calisthenics as a form of physique training. I like it because I travel and you don't need access to a weightroom. The two keys are mainly (1) 6 small healthy meals a day, and (2) do the exercises daily. It's not hard, but it's hard to be consistent even in easy things. It's like doing your homework - once you get in the habit, it's cake. And for people who don't think calisthenics gives you that body, just look at gymnasts

There is a small percentage of people have are actually obese, the rest is just the McDonalds lifestyle. Just like some people have diseases, but not everyone. Yeah, I totally agree with you about how some people are genetically pre-dispositioned to be monsters, but - everyone can be ripped (minus genetic obesity in the minority). You have muscles - it's what your body is made of; you simply eat right to shed the fat off those muscles, and you exercise to make the muscles buldge.
i guess that is my mayjor defeat i can bulk pretty easy but the diet thing kills me lol. I also can press alot of weight i bench around 400 but for some reason i can struggle with hand stand push ups n pull ups any advise oh yea i weigh around 240 i would love to be alot more ripped and gain more functional strenth i compete in mma
The hardest thing I've come to accept is that it's ALL about diet, and that eating healthy actually tastes good. 80% diet, 20% workout. And by diet it doesn't have to be nasty food, just stuff like a turkey sandwich with lettuce/tomato on whole-wheat bread. Still tastes good, just not McDonalds. Switch to 6 small meals a day (like 1/2 a tuna sandwich, then the other 1/2 a few hours later) and your fat will melt off like crazy!
ill give that a shot thanks for the advice also does doing the protein shakes and liquid meal replacements work i know the whole goal is to cut your fat in cal intake but i herd those diets can also leave you week with no energy and i need all the energy n endurance i can get for my mma competition i use to wrestle and the way we use to cut weight for matches was unhealthy and uncomfortable if i could get myself down to 220 225 i know it would be a big change in my body apperance
Yeah protein shakes are great, because unless you're working out like mad, it's hard to fit a full 6 meals of food in your stomach during a day, so having a liquid meal or two is great. You need carbs for energy (good carbs - whole grain pasta, whole wheat bread, veggies, etc.). You can be to 220 in a month and a half if you simply change your diet & walk around the block for 15 minutes a day. It's pretty simple! :)
most of the issue is what you can't do pull ups is probably your forearms are to weak. as soon as you finish your first intense forearm workout. your pushups and pullups will become a soooo much easier
It's not genetic, and it's not even hard work - it's just consistency. If you eat 6 meals a day and spend an hour every day doing calisthenics, you can do this too. This is how the human body was designed - your body is made up of a muscle system that shows through when you're doing this type of program. Buy their other DVD, they have a beginner workout & diet program.
I've been doing these exercises for a few months now. Just about ready to cancel my gym membership. No need for me to go to one. I'll give Louie Simmons and Westside Barbell all the credit in the world but its more fun to workout outdoors.
That's the first time I've seen a girl do a decent front pull! The straddle planche pushups are coming along, great work! Very nice control. Can't wait to see those legs come up! I've been a fan for a long time, keep up the great work!
