I was at this game and that 95 yard td run by Brown! HOLY SHIT! Did he have wheels. I didn't mean to post my previous comment that was for the ND game
@goblue918 that PI wasn't terrible. had the CB been going for the ball the whole time, it would have been legal. yet he was blocking the WR's progress toward the ball. good PI call.
Is that a joke? Terrible call. The receiver and cover guy both have a right to the ball, so when Cissoko ran Sears' route for him and played the ball the entire time, whatever "blocking" occurred was him using his body to box out the other guy. Not illegal. Receivers box out cornerbacks on a regular basis; Cissoko just played this well enough to reverse the roles.
@TheZooCrew good thing you're not an NCAA official because you would be kicked out after one quarter. he was not playing the ball the whole time. he turned at the last second and then impeded the progress of the receiver. you CANT do that. it will be called every single time. this isn't a question of whether the DB has the same rights to the ball..he denied the rights to the WR. if you believe that was a terrible call, you're either a complete homer (which is acceptable) or a complete retard.
@eKriZZLe Well then the announcers must be homers and/or retarded because they were certain it was offensive PI too...Yea I dont think so, terrible call
@eKriZZLe Yea good call, that must be it!!! Wait a minute...I know what's goin on here....you're the ref. that threw that flag! Wow it all makes sense now because that's the only logical reason 1 person out of thousands is stubborn enough to believe that. How the hell do you still have a job?
This was my 1st michigan game too! life long fan and never went until a friend got 2 tickets and couldnt go so i took them....it was on the 50 yard line but like the 23rd row but thats still pretty close!
ill said this before and ill say it again our team is too hungry too lose spartans have a rude awakening this saturday adjustments will be made and that damned trophy will be ours MUAHAHAHAHA
It wasn't Michigan's greatest game by any means, but I really like what they did in the 2nd half by coming out strong defensively. And then the offensive just took over. I am glad our run game was unstoppable, but man we are going to miss Molk ALOT now that he is gone for 4-6 weeks!
we will manage a lot of ppl have to step up tho im not worried actually our team is hungry we will destroy oSUCKS might even pick off penn ST this team is completely different than the previous team a year ago we too hungry not be a force even though we are a young team
HAS ANYONE ESLE NOTICED that rodriguez is bringing A LOT of speed to michigan??? this is why the big ten has been gettin killed by teams like usc in the pac 10 and the SEC. they all have speed. rodriguez is doing a good job so far. by his 4th year...wow the big ten and other confrences better watch out :)
That's what he's talking about. Michigan is now getting some of the fastest guys around now. Players like D-Rob, and even Forcier, would've never looked at the Block M until RichRod got the job.
You are right! I went from thinking please dont turn into something bad for years at the begining of the year to after watching at that young talet to be realistic that this fresman class will NOT lose to ohio state 4-0
While I agree with the enthusiasm, let's not get ahead of ourselves and start counting the chickens before they hatch. A lot can happen before eafch of those games with OSU. After the way the last few years have gone (not just last year), I'm honestly not looking beyond the current game. Indiana is seriously the only team I'm thinking about right now.
Forcier's father is from Michigan and RAISED him to be a Wolverine fan. Tate said although he was born in California it was his dream to play for Michigan (I'm sure he would've went to UofM with or w/o Rich Rod. So, contrary to your 2nd statement, Forcier was ALWAYS looking at Michigan.
Then why wasn't Michigan on his list of schools until RichRod got the job? Michigan was not gonna get a Tate Forcier with Lloyd Carr, or someone from "in-house" as the head coach.
I am so proud of how Big Blue is playing this year. There are some holes to fill, but then again we knew that at the beginning of the season. Once this team begins to settle in and the ship begins to tighten, this team will be a force. Both nationally and within the conference. This year Michigan is reasserting itself, next year will be something special. GO BLUE!
defby Devin Gardner is "true BLUE" all the way, a few days ago someone asked Devin if the success of the two Michigan QB's this season would scare him off, Devin replied "no of course not, it just makes me want to go to Michigan even more, so i can compete against the best!". Michigan is gonna be scary good on offense the next few years, BUT WE NEED TO START GETTING SOME DEFENSIVE STUDS!!!!
why would you try to pass more when your running is going great...? Keep saying bad things about Michigan it ain't gonna change that we kicked EMU's ass ^^ Go Blue
anyone notice how awful the announcers were during this game. prime exmaple, big tackle for loss credited to BRANDON GRAHAM!!!!! oops it was my fellow Canadian Renaldo Sagesse. 95 not 55, come on
I was responding to the two guys commenting on the commentators. Not Eastern. Next time make sure you know what you're posting about before throwing around insults.
Exactly. I like to know that the offense can still do well if the passing game isn't all that effective. Yeah, we didn't throw the ball very much. But why force it when you can just run for nearly 400 yards and win by almost 30?
Luckily, it IS the other way around...when we were 25 in AP, we didn't even show up in the USA Today Poll, and I feel that the Coaches' Poll is so much more important because they see past the numbers. We're putting up 30+ points every game so far, so the computers like us, but I was a little concerned about the coaches.
Minor is still the best back on the team, i bet he would have looked pretty darn good against guys not even attempting to tackle him too. Wait til Penn State comes to town, then we'll see the Minor rage, and expose Brown.
I'm on the drumline and was sitting in the front row where Cissoko got that bullshit PI call. I don't know what the poor guy's supposed to do...he goes for the ball, then gets tackled by the receiver and still gets a penalty. All those ND fans can shut up about officiating now after this game and the Michigan State game.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Carlos Brown is BOSS. No disrespect to the great Brandon Minor, but Brown is best tailback on the team. his combination of speed and power is just amazing. I hope he keeps it up, and I hope the o-line stays healthy. losing Moosman last week and Molk this week is not good.
Not the best game by the defense but they shut it down 2nd half. The offense was great as usual and it was nice to see runners other than forcier doing well. The whole stadium was soooo quiet when forcier went down injured. Luckily he's ok. And DRob? What can you say, he's a runner more than a passer. He sure can electrify the crowd!
For a university of Michigan iPod/iPhone application, search for "wearmaize" in the app store.
Good overall game, the only thing i hate to see is all the injuries, from the little ones to the small ones they add up. This team needs to stay healthy!
And not only that, but in my opinion I thought Martavious Odoms caught that ball from Denard on that play before the interception, again, refs bullshit the Wolverines, whatever though, the win is what matters.
Wow, the refs made the worst call since the Miami (FL) vs. OSU championship game. That one pass interference call on Cissoko was HORRIBLE! If anything it shoulda clearly been on the offense!!!!!!! Anyways, it was good to see that not every game has to be won by Tate, his stats were'nt eye opening but he managed the game, and thank god he wasn't injured seriously! I had a heart attack when he was down! Good to see the running game doing amazing!
That was an atrocious call at 1:45. There was another one in the second half (The "uncatchable" one to Matthews). Overall though, I have to say I am very happy with how the running game went this game. We don't have to gun sling against Eastern, so this game was a fantastic chance to let our gaggle of running backs to take pressure off of Tate after such a big win. It was also nice to see Robinson come in and take some snaps even though he made a few bad decisions. He did make up for them tho.

As for Devin Gardner I don't know why he wouldn't come to Michigan, Get red shirted and start when he is a softmore. I mean if he is better then he will start. Simple as that.
All I know is he came to the west side of the state and go his ass handed to him though.
D-Robs throws and decision making will get better with time. He doesn't get enough reps to get into a rhythm. When he does get into the game they need to start him of with quick dinks, dunks and slants to get him started. He has an arm though.
Defense is in area of concern especially the D line. But all in all a fine day. Passing game isn't going to be there when you have a 400 yard rushing game.
Don't get caught looking ahead, Go out and take care of Indiana then its off to the losers in lancing
Dear lord I've been watching Michigan football since I can remember and I've never seen a player as fast as Denard Robinson. teach him to throw that quick bubble screen and a slant route and he is a Heisman-capable player in a few years. I'm amazed at his natural ability.
the thing i love about RR is that the big 10 is TERRIBLE at defending the spread even us under carr (no offence of cource one of the greatest coaches ever) so the big10 has gotta learn to defend vs spread but good for us. purdue and us r the only do the spread. but purdue isnt too good. and now that we have good qbs with one being a great passer and very athletic and can run when needed and then a very athletic and dynamic runner. this should be an interesting season
Can you imagine how dangerous Denard Robinson will be once he improves his paasing game? Michigan is blessed to have two such talented QB's. What a difference a year makes!
68 yards passing, and a billion yards running....i guess thats one way to do it. lol our opponents wont know how to defend us. we have way too many weapons
When the games come on the Big 10 network you should be able to view all of them. I have Dish and the standard big 10 channel is 439, but the other games are on 5440 and so on.

6 rushing TD's. Bo Schembechler would have been proud.

he would have indeed.

I felt bad for Andy Schmidtt when he went down. It sucks when you suffer an injury like that.
Obviously, I'm glad we won but I hope Ron English is able to do good things with that program.

When the games come on the Big 10 network you should be able to view all of them. I have Dish and the standard big 10 channel is 439, but the other games are on 5440 and so on.
