skateboarding is a real SKILL. I am 53 years old and I LOVE to streetluge and downhill. I ride an Evo and a Sayshun Charger. When anybody laughs at me I hand them my board and say ' YOU do it" or "when YOU are 53 and still skateboarding...get back to me". Ageism sucks. If you want respect at whatever age YOU may happen to be then respect me for the age I happen to be. Skateboards are not kiddie toys. And I don't need my parents to buy me the boards I want!

Awesome! I'm 45 and I skated 'til I was 15 or so.Got my nephews some boards for Xtmas last year and I've been taking them to a skate park in São Bernardo(BRAZIL) near my place.Anyways I thought of getting back to skateboarding again but I was a little afraid of looking ridiculous in front of the kids,but now seeing your dad kicking butt like that!!That was the kind of motivation I needed.THANK YOU

Great, I'm 44 and just started last year. However, I do think most adults look a lot less silly on a longboard than a trickboard. They are just more proportionally appropriate. Also, longboarding tricks are a lot easier on aging knees!

dont stop, i stopped skating when i was 20 years old and went into hard drugs and girls then started skating again 2 years ago but for only 3 months then girl had me stranded to not ride on it again until i broke up, skate now and i'm 27 years old.. i still got skills even good pops that i can kickflip 2 to 3 ft but my regret is missed out 7 years of no skating or i would be ripping so dont stop skating! i missed it a lot for 7 years

Nice! Here shows the power of a good attitude. It is amazing how skating transcends all ages. I'm a skater at 43, and just one of the guys among the local skater kids. And I've never felt better. More power to us older dudes who refuse age and embrace our passions. Awesome skating man!
