Here are some of the reasons i like cubase5.1 over cakewalk sonar 8.5.3. #1 You can control the input of you signal within the program. #2 While you are recording multi tracks you can enable and disable any track at any given time. #3 The pitch correct is the easiest and the best Ive ever used, ''and Ive used them all''. I can go on and on about it not crashing but i wont. I have used sonar from version 2 through 8.5.3 but no more, I am a cubase fan for life.
What I like to see in Cubase 6 is more high quality plug-ins like in Logic...Logic doesn't have as many features as Cubase but the plug-ins sound awesome...the instruments, effects plugins.
I have Cubase 4 and I am waiting for Cubase 6 to upgrade.
Ok, there better be a lot more important stuff done in c5 than this. these additions are hardly worth ugrading. Most people already have a melodyne plugin for pitch correction. most already have an Altiverb convoltion type plugin as well... so ??
why i should buy this new version?? still waiting for some real reasons,,,,,,

Convolution reverb is a good start, now give us some good instruments and FX plugins like in Logic.

Little misleading: REVerence convoltion plug in is only in Cubase 5, neither studio, nor Essentials. The pitch correction is, though.

I've got a new mac and that reverb brings my system to it's knees. At 24/96 it's pretty much not usable.

Steinberg has released a 5.10 update that it supposed to significantly reduce the CPU load when using the REVerance reverb.
