Anyone who has ever wanted a horse, known a kid who wants a horse, likes horses or just wanted something very badly would love watching this. Truthfully I don't even like Dennis the Menace.
I did post this on my Horse N Pony Online facebook page - to share it with other fun videos and photos. Thanks so much for posting it.

I forgot how funny this TV show really was. Especially from 6:48 when Mr. Wilson gets that nauseous look on his face when he hears Dennis' voice and then the boys stick there heads in the door and shout Merrrrrrrrrrrrry Christmasssssssss!
@Juliaflo, I agree Joseph Kearns was in fact the better Mr. Wilson and Gale Gordon didn't fit into the role they even named him John when in the comic strip his name was George, even replacing the wife too.
@LadyVader33, I didn't know Joseph Kearns died during the run of Dennis the Menace, they could've gotten a better replacement actor other then Gale Gordon, either Jesse White or William Frawley.
I give you a thumbs up to make up for the asshole that gave you a thumbs down... I saw Jay North on the Geraldo show years back... He hates his dead Aunt for the abusive miserable childhood...he was driven by fear, spanked, whipped for the slightest mistakes.. he said he's hoping she is burning in hell for what she did to him... I felt sorry for him but I also want BAD every season of the show on DVD!! Too bad it's politically incorrect to release it today
TV Land and Nick at Night both went to hell in a handbag. I bought most of the old TV Classics on DVD because they do not play them on the TV stations anymore...Blessings~~Cindy
i agree with you.tvland and nick at nite is a mess.they show the stupid shows instead of anything good.the only good current show they play is 3 is a company.this was an amazing show.i have no idea why they took the good shows off and are playing ones like home improvement, fresh prince and geroge Lopez.well leave it to beaver, lassie, donna reed, patty duke and dennis the menace those were my favorites! they should bring these back!
I was born in 1983 and I loved DTM when I was growing up. It use to air on Nick during the mid 80s through the mid 90s. I use to watch it early in the morning before school. It came on right after Lassie. If anyone else has any more DTM episodes, PLEASE tube them! Thanx!!!
hey i wanted to say i was born in 75 and i use to watch lassie and dennis the menace early in the morning too back in the early 90's i loved the classic shows.
This is very interesting since this show was before my time and I don't have access to Nickelodeon. I like those notes at the bottom of the screen as well. That's interesting information.
I think I recorded this episode in the early nineties. Back then, Nick-at-Night would run a lot of shows such as this that were true classics-not the plethora of shows from the eighties and nineties and so on that they run now. This included shows such as this, Donna Reed Show, Father Knows Best etc.
Every year they would have a special where they would run all the Christmas episodes of these shows and that's when I taped this and Mr. Ed.
Fortunately, The Donna Reed Show has just released it's first season on DVD and is well worth the purchase price as is the two seasons of Father Knows Best. Dennis has yet to make it to the market, and the Mr. Ed sets are incomplete "best of" sets. I encourage anyone who truly enjoys these old shows to purchase the DVD's that are available so that they will know there is a market for them.
How did we get the term Great Scott? What's great about Scott?

Most of the time Dennis wants a pony.

If Dennis and Mr. Wilson were real life characters, Mr Wilson would wind up strangling that kid!

The character "Billy" (in the comic strip) was renamed Tommy, to match the character on the show

Gale Gordon looked a lot more like Mr Wilson from the comics than Joseph Kerns

I just HATE what has been done to the closing credits. The biggies in television today must think that people are dunces.

Billy Booth played Joey; he is now a physician and doesn't refer to his Dennis the Menace past at all.

Wow, $10 in those days was practically a fortune to a child back then. I'd probably blow it on nickel packs of baseball cards. ;)
