what would be the best boot i can purchase if i have around 300$ to spend? i do street/hill runs quite abit, i dont mind if it is a track only boot. im after protect+quality.

@mrfuk Alpinestars and Sidi are both great boots, and will run about 300 bucks. Oxstars are also a good boot, and run a bit cheaper than the two mentioned above. All three will stop your feet and ankles from getting smashed, and all three are a quality boot. I can vouch, I've wrecked hard in two out of three of them (AStar and Sidi) and still have both pairs of boots after replacing the damaged parts.

What do you prefer for canyon riding? Sidi Vertigo or Alpinestars S-MX Plus? I prefer the looks of the Sidi, but the S-MX matches my alpinestars suit/gloves. But I dunno which one is better.

They are both excellent, some of the best. I will say the Alpinestars S-MX Plus offers a higher level of ankle stability than the Vertigo. Other than that both very well made.

SMX are the best boots for road riding

cool in summer, more than showerproof

warm enough for my 60mile commute even on coldest of days in the uk

Bought Sidi Vertigo's yesterday :), they'll come with my 2008 black cbr125r next tuesday! (also have a Shoei XR1000, Alpinestars GP Plus leather jacket and Richa Shock gloves). Nice review of the boots btw!

Sidi Vertigo Corsa Air Rulez! :) I have them and they rock. Ultra comfortable and light. Airflow is perfect. Not too much though. They aren't too cool on colder days. 100% recommendation.

Imo you should still offer the Corsa for people who don't only use their bike on the racetrack. That and the design (and of course the price ;]) were the main reasons for me to buy the corsa and not the vortice.
