  • This is a great explanation of an interesting problem, a good demonstration of how a probability puzzle can be quickly turned into smart mathematics.

  • i don't have a clue on integral calculus or anything like that, but i really liked watching this video! i just graduated from high school and i wish i had classes like that. up until 8:30 i thought it was a amazingly clear solution (from that point on i got lost but thats just me) well i hope i can fully understand this one day! seems really cool!

  • wwooww excellent man!!!!

  • I am not certain if it's too much to ask, but can you make a video on the Buffon's Needle Problem where the length of the needle is greater than the crack width.

Awesome work, however, I like to think of it in terms of 1/2 sin(theta)d(theta) from 0 --> pi

  • It would be the same thing, just remember that the "cos(@)" is really "R*cos(@)" where R is the length of the needle divided by two. It just happens that in this example R=1.

  • one guy already mention that problem,im repeating again, not able to see the top

  • really good explanation dude....

  • An elegant and well-explained solution. You're clearly a very bright guy. One small criticism: I think your recording equipment needs to be repaired or updated. There's a continuous hum that hurt my ears for the duration of your presentation.

  • Great stuff, you explain this well. I am doing a problem in uni about this, and your video helped.

  • WojOOO!

  • i cant see the top

  • Very cool problem and solution!
