Chevy leafs (Particularly the 90's model 4x4 1/2 ton) are longer than a stock Tacoma leaf thus providing more flex...mainly droop. Plus they are stout as hell, control axle wrap better, and can be found at any pick-n-pull for around $80. When you go through as many leaf packs as I do, this is a very palatable solution!
There are quite a few mods. High pinion D60 front axle, custome 3 link with 16" SAW coliovers, dual cases, hydro assist steering, 14 bolt rear, locked front and rear, bobbed bed, 63" chevy rear leafs....and the list goes on and on. Thanks! It is working flawlessly.
