I got all three of the getter team robots as a christmas gift (: However, are the arm joints at the elbow stiff on the Dragon Robot, and I have a hard time articulating them, same for Liger.
@MrMaxguy1 Hmmm.... I am wondering if they are stiff because they have been made for such a long time ago and that the stiffness comes because they have never been played with. Perhaps they will loosen up a little if you move them around a little more. And apologies for the late reply. Have a good 2012! =)
I would love it if bandai would release the liger and Poseidon figures alongside gx51 but a re release of the 18 19 20 would be better! I want the launchers and gett machines too :-(
The show where this robot stars, Getter Robo G was broadcast in the USA long ago as part of Jim Terry's Force Five series: The Starvengers, the original Getter Dragon Chogokin and Jumbo Machinder was also imported to the USA as Dragun in their Shogun Warriors line.
@nightslash3535 Thanks for the background information of this series. Seems like they did something similar to what Harmony Gold did by importing 3 Japanese series and consolidating them into the Robotech series.
Speaking of which, Getters Liger and Poseidon Chogokin and Jumbo Machinders were also imported to the USA under the name Raider and Poseidon respectively. Their Force Five versions were named Star Arrow and Star Poseidon while Getter D was named Star Dragon.
Yes, but the Robotech series seemed to be better since they managed to refine the story and original script while still true to their Macross/Mospeada/Southern Cross counterparts.
@1big101 I do have a MG God Gundam and the Mazingers and Getters are about the same height as God Gundam. Do note that MG God Gundam is about 80% the size and height of a standard MG Gundam. Mazinkaiser and Shin Getter would be more to scale with the typical MG Gundams.
@astroman2112 Hi Astroman, nice to hear from you again. I don't think Bandai has plans for the OVA version of Getter Liger and Poseidon, at least for now. Seems like they are focusing on the new chogokin line after the 3 Ninja Tobikage pieces. For the GX-45C, I am unlikely to do a review on it because its basically a recolor of GX-45, so there's nothing much to talk about it other than a different paint job. Hope that does not disappoint you my friend. =)

I wish Bandai would make Shin Dragon, Liger and Poseidon in their SOC line.

Hey, i am at the moment, gathering a few chogokins to go with my MG Gundams.
Can you tell me the height of Mazinger 01R, Great Mazinger, Aoshima Mazinkaiser, Getter Robo 06, Getter Dragon 18, and the Aoshima Shin Getter?
1big101 1 year ago
@1big101 Mazinger, Great Mazinger, Getter 1 and Getter Dragon are about 14cm tall. Mazinkaiser is 18-19cm and Shin Getter is about 16-17cm

@OptimusPrimeSG Perfect. Wait, can you give me a comparison? Do you own any MG Gundams like God, Wing Zero Custom, or Strike Freedom?

Always great to see reviews of classic SOC's. I love this set!
I wonder if Ban Dai has plans to release the other two with the
Getter Dragon GX-51 to complete the three.
Also, do you plan on doing any review for GX-45C (comic color limited) Mazinger Z?
Hope so.
Thanks Charles!
