Just because a band is popular doesn't mean they "suck".

If that's the case, Slayer sucks. "Reign in Blood" became the gold standard for metal. Everyone loved it. Therefore, it sucked.

The same would therefore apply to Metallica (no, not their newer stuff. "Master of Puppets" and their prior albums). Oh, and what about Black Sabbath?

All reached popularity. So all must suck, if we're to follow that narrow-minded logic.
