anyway... what would you do with the boot partition afterwards? if the boot and installation partitions are both on the same drive, won't I be left with a redundant 10GB Boot partition?

@DanceFloorJunkie you can delete the 10GB partition and use the free space to expand the main partition or you can just keep it for emergency in case you need to reinstall.

same happens with snow Leapord 10.6.1

i downloaded snow leapord 10.6.1

its 4.37 GB file

when i burn it in my dvd

it becomes 192 kb

@ankit866 I don't know why and how, but that is the way it is supposed to be.. For some reason it works anyway. If you have a 4.7 GB dvd, then you're good to go! :)

Ok, i installed lion, i am now speaking from it, but i have one simple problem:

if i try to install the chameleon bootloader on lion partition it stops working.

I would like to get rid of the install partiton without fuckin my lion partition.

But i guess i wont die for 10 gb will i?

ill resize the partition to the size of the files on it and leave it there.

OK this method work for me now... and the best way to install lion on pc .... but is there any way to automatic install our kexts. cos after success boot to lion my PC cannot find any kext for keyboard, usb, graphic. so i cant do anything. please.... n sorry for my english

I was able to follow the install all the way up to the first boot. During the grey boot screen, I'll get the circle with the line through it and I'll have to restart it.

@TheKevinMrs Yes but you will have to make another partition on your disk and use it to backup your stuff on it with time Machine and then you can restore your stuff.
