@Holenwiking but no man could. glorfindel prophesied that he would never fall by the hands of man. legolas might have been able to but its doubtful. gandalf could have easily defeated him, being only a man in shape, but had to save faramir from denethor. thus the witch king was free to attack the rohirrim until he fell at the hands of a hobbit and a woman. the movie totally misrepresents his power as he is merely a man. gandalf, being a demi god of sorts could have easily won.
