My favorite song in the Zero's universe, also the first I've heard of them... Simply a brilliant complexty. Being pioneers or not, they are unique in the RIO atmosphere and thats what really matters, isn't it?

Thanks for posting. Amazing piece and performance. However, the info in your video description names Universe zero as the pioneers of BELGIAN rock-in-opposition, which is rather a stupid title. Belgian RIO is RIO, and they are far from the pioneers of RIO. You're being misleading.

univers zero certainly are pioneers of RIO (and they are Belgian, hence them being Belgian RIO pioneers...or of you like, RIO pioneers of Belgian origins).

They played the very first RIO concert w/ Henry Cow, et al in 1978....headlining, in fact.

In fact, it happen already before that concert in London, I could say : not pioneers, but pre-pioneers. I met Chris Cutler (Henry Cow) way before the RIO concept, but we already had the idea to join our experienes. And yes, we are Belgians, and I like the idea it is stupid, that's the fun in it, to hear such stories....

Sorry if the text misleads you. But, we're afraid it may not have been a problem with the text but with your interpretation of it. Actually, if you read it carefully, the text doesn't say the Univers Zero were "the pioneers of BELGIAN rock-in-opposition" like you say (well miswriting can be misleading, huh!? :) ), but "belgian rock-in-opposition pioneers". So, what it means is: UZ are belgian AND rock-in-opposition pioneers. No more, no less. Thanks for watching!!
