Jerry just didnt want to get AIC back together until Layne cleaned up.....there were reports of recording for 30 minutes, Layne would have to take his "medicine" then nod off for 2-3 hours before they could record again. Layne is amazing (RIP) and very talented, just could not shake his demons, depression and drug use. If he had cleaned up, imagine the music they would have created over the past 14 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
