  • Watched this as a kid very funny show. I would like to see on TV land . Not going to happen because tv land don't show older showa anymore they say there is no audience for it.. People my age have to buy older Video's ,its rare to find on TV

  • BRING THIS SHOW BACK TO BET.

  • he got 2 many schemes for me lol

  • When I was a kid back in Scotland I used to see my Dad almost doubled up in laughter while he was watching the "Amos and Andy" show.

There was no thought of racism with him, it was just a great funny show he was watching performed by very talented people who lost good paying jobs because of protesting idiots.

Apart from the NAACP, I have to wonder if the ACLU had a hand in it also?

  • when iwas growing up my parents wouldn't let us watch this, so every chance we got we would sneak to neighbors to watch. this is one of the funniest one that i remember, and them trying to buy chincilla minks to make coats

  • Im only 30 years old and find these shows funny as hell LMAO!!

  • I think the problem with this program was that Blacks have a direct investment in this. The radical innunciations by Kingfish may have offended some and furthered some continuance of stereotypes. I'm hispanic but I just saw this as clean fun in my youth

  • Amos and Andy is one of my all time favorites. I disagree that it was criticised for racism. They started out on radio years before tv, and on neither one, no one thought it was racist. It is only today, people look back and say it was, but it's not. just clean good humor.

  • This series came in for a lot of criticism for being racist. But if you look at the white series of that time, these Black people are far more dignified and intelligent than Chester Riley, Stu Erwin or Ralph Kramden.

  • how in gods name is this not on tv today .

    it is f&%king hysterical ...

i remember watching it when i was a kid in NJ in the 50's -

  • @bjorntooski I am black and muslim, and I know that as a people we are just to sensitive.

  • I always loved it when Kingfish got kick out of the house by his wife and his Rembrandt copy was all he took with him. Now THAT was class!

  • HHAHAHA yeah I remember that same scene...he walks out with that sad-dog look on his face with that picture LMAO

  • These are the best! Nothing on TV today could beat Amos and Andy! Love them both!!!!

  • great.wonderful.
