  • This actor (Scarecrow) is now a college Professor. Can you imagine how much of a boss he must be? lol.

  • I LOVE LARA TEETER.

  • While the bad video may be a problem, it appears to be nicely designed for a terrible characterization of the Scarecrow. Is this honestly a professional production? The acting is rather amateurish. It's too overacted, with too much unmotivated movement. The dancing near the end is nice and skilled, though. But the acting is contrived. It seems like a community theater production, and I've seen better talent in those.

  • He is the best Scarecrow on this play

  • I am trying so hard to lose weight so I can play the Scarecrow. It's my title dream role in the musical theatre to play Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, and I am trying to lose weight. I'm scared I'll never lose this weight, because I know they don't want a fat Scarecrow. They want one as thin as a stick (That's how this one guy I know got the part, even though he sucked in the role. He only got it because he was skinny)

  • Wow! I know Lara in real life and he is an awesome guy!

  • Whoa!

  • this is more like the wiz

  • How so? I don't see the connection?

  • amazing scarecrow, such a rich powerful voice

  • Guys, Wicked is NOT an official prequel. L. Frank Baum didn't indicate anything about that. Wicked is merely an interpretation. I hate it when people see Wicked, and then they're like "ZOMG I hate Dorothy!" Uh...no.

Wicked is a good show, don't get me wrong. But still.

  • AMEN!

  • couldn't agree more. I resent wicked now for giving false truths.

  • I thank god i am not the only one who feels this way i thought i was severely alone in that thought...lol THANK YOU!!!!!!!

  • Wicked IS an AMAZING show, BUT it is misleading...that is unless you're smart enough to realize that there's really no actual connection except that Wicked is a story based off the story line of The Wizard of Oz. I seriously don't understand those people that think it's a real prequel...

  • @NoxxRegrets So true.

  • this is incredible!!!!

  • Lara Teeter was easily the best Scarecrow since Ray Bolger himself!

  • why do they have to be different?

    WICKED = AWSOME

    WIZARD OF OZ = AWSOME

MIX TO TWO DIFFERENT SIDES OF THE SME STORY = PURE AWSOMENESS!!!!

by the way, when i said it's a good prequal I ment that the brodway show is a good prequal to the book of the Wizard of Oz and the movie. I know some things don't blend like the ruby/silver slippers, but why do we have to take sides?

I just love the whole shabang, and L. Frank Baum.

  • Actually, they don't blend. There are so many things in the MGM film and WICKED that they can't logically be direct to each other. Just the same as the MGM film and Return to Oz are not directly linked. WICKED is the prequel to the STORY of the Wizard of Oz, but not to the MGM film itself. And I am well aware that there is a prequel to the Little Mermaid, however, Disney made it. In order for WICKED to be a real prequel to the MGM film, it would have to be licensed by Turner Entertainment.

  • i love the crows! i love the crows! I LOVES THE CROWS!!!

  • the scarecrow is Fyiero...in wicked...elphaba (the wicked witch of the east) casts a spell on Fyiero and turns him into a scarecrow...wicked is the story of the witches before the wizard of oz ever happened...yah this was written with no knowledge of "WICKED" at the time...but you have to admit...everything that happens in wicked is a very clever prequal!

  • WICKED and THE WIZARD OF OZ are not one and the same. They are both inspired by/based on L. Frank Baums 1900 novel THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ. But the two do not connect. Also, in WICKED, Elphaba would become the Witch of the West, not the East.

  • Elphaba did that to save him from being tortured.

  • @songboy07

ur a tard. elphaba is the wicked witch of the west.

  • @2morro4me in wicked not in wizard of oz.

  • the Scarecrow is in fact Fyeiro

  • No, he's not. In WICKED he is, however, this is THE WIZARD OF OZ. Stop trying to distort facts. THE WIZARD OF OZ was around 55 years before Wicked was even written.

  • agree with ya 100%. WICKED and Wizard of Oz, two one COMPLETE different shows.

  • please post the whole show

  • Do you have the entire show???
