  • does anyone know who sings this song?? i have been trying to look it up but i cant find it..plz help :) who sings this and the name of the original song

  • Is Swan 18 now???

  • if you google swan brooner, it comes up with this thing, where this person is trying to track her down. why is he/she trying to do this? please reply! :)

  • @MrsMaxGeorge22 Honestly I don't know and I don't really agree with it =/ Now that he's found her I hope he'll leave her alone.

  • @MrsMaxGeorge22 i only found where she hurt herself and her mum was very very angry with her :OO

  • @MrsMaxGeorge22 can you maybe send me where you found this ?

    please ;)

  • i hate beauty pageants! whats wrong in rolling in the mud? and not have to learn "how to walk" or "how to smile" They're kids for goodness sake! an eight year old got taken off her mother because her mother made her have botox treatment! let them be kids - before its too late! :(

  • sorry it was han021220

    get a life loser

    bitch

  • just because shes a gifted child

    doesnt mean mrmonkeypooface

u have say mean things about other peoples child

talk shit about jlos ugly kid

    not her

    go girl :]

  • Now this poor girl doesn't even go by her own name. I googled her and this guy has like a shrine blog devoted to finding her. Leave her alone really. Look at what girls like this will have to go through and what their parents subject them to just to say oh my daughter got 1st place. Live your own dreams, quit sexuallizing children and be a parent! A real parent, one that cares for their children, not exploits them

  • omg, America is so F***ing sick!

  • @TheBeachgirl16 yes america is pedophile. they make their children look like little adults! it's no wonder that men think kids are sexy and that there are so many pedophile idiots.

  • Poor girls! What do the learn about what is important in life? What do they learn about beauty is all about, that really beauty comes from the inside of you?It does not help too look great if you do not have a great personallity! And about styling and dressing up young girls as adults;what about if they get wraped or murdered?Do not forget Jon Bennet Ramsey........

  • @Hans021220 They go to school and their is a best personality prize :] One girl as an example. Many young girls have died from various reasons. If there was more JonBenet Ramsey cases then I highly doubt this would be so popular.

  • okay at 0:24 you made it look like she's nervous for try outs but instead she was scared of her mom who was bribing her to wear star earrings. watch the documentary next time buddy

  • @MoxyandTray Hey buddy :] (assume we should call each other the same thing even though it was a little friendly for the first time). You may interpret it as a story if you wish however I was just putting together my favourite clips of Swan from the show. In order to do that I obviously had the show on my computer and would have obviously watched it... some parts multiple times when the computer was playing up! I didn't 'make' it look like anything. Creating videos is exactly that, creative.

  • your all so sad?

maybe she liked it man, grow up?

if you dont agree with it why watch the fucker?

and if shes watching this shes going to be abit offended dont you think.

but you freaks dont get that do you?

    and learn proper english, 'cuz'?

    its because.

    god.

  • the mothers are fat and so ugly! they squeeze their daughters for the money. because in theyre live they was not good! ( sorry my english is not good im from germany)and the girls so little and dont want that! the girls are children, and not dolls

  • @chriloju I suppose it's all a matter of opinion. If the child enjoys it then that's fine. Of course pushy parents in ANYTHING may it be pegeants or a sport isn't great. Encouragement but not force. Although Swan doesn't seem to be forced so I find it fine.

  • I don't know much about pageants, and I'm only on this page because I'm looking about a housefire story called living dolls. I have a question, are ugly children not allowed to take part in these pageants? Cuz if I were a girl (and ugly) I'd feel like crap if I saw all these other good looking girls getting prizes for looking so great... I just don't see the point in child pageants, and think the kids in em look a bit creepy. Just my opinion.

  • @MrMonkeypooface It's a bit of a girl thing to be honest. And some girls don't like it and that's up to them. But a lot of children, myself included, love to wear dresses, have their hair and makeup done and look pretty. The pageants, so far I've never seen an awarded for 'prettiest girl'. It's about your confidence, hair, dress and the way you work the stage, smiling, that kind of thing :] Its fun, but I only have the experience of being on a catwalk. Not exactly the same but similar.

  • I was about to use this song for a video! haha. anyways, swan is a beautiful girl. I hope she's ok

  • i realize now why so many women defend these pageants. most of them wear alot of make up too and dress in gaudy outfits. to say the kids look like hookers is an insult to them. It's really quite simple, why didnt I see that before?

  • no, because most women have children or family members who love pageants or most women were child pageant queens and loved them or are like me and teenage girl involved in pageants. so yes while saying " pageant kids look like hookers" you are calling my self, lots of other little girls, and lots of women's children and family members hookers. of course we are going to be insulted!

  • @jayjaygirl24698 Hey, if the shoe fits! Does it walk lika duck?

  • This looks to be implying that everyone supporting pageants is a hooker. Please don't post comments like these on my video or I will delete them. I am in support of pageants to this is 'insulting' me. I definitely don't dress up like a prostitute. And I can't name a single outfit that shows any part of a child's body that a child wouldn't show in everyday clothes.

  • i know its bimbo, i spelt that really quick and made a typo, i guess you r just so perfect that never happens to you. and most of our parents are awesome, and most of their smiles aren''t fake, and most of their mums dont scold them, and no kid in pageants shakes "sexy"

  • Good enuff. Now take off your blinders and tell me what you see. Troll the videos, do some research and I'm sure ( if you're not a Bimbo) you will find what I have.

  • haha wow. i'm not a bimbo, unless in my mind a bimbo is a lot different then yours (a bimbo in my mind is a really stupid person usually a girl) but i know i'm not stupid. i don't need research, i'm what people should use to do research... a real live glitz pageant girl!

  • Well, if you don't consider flippers to be fake then I guess you're double retarded and if you think parents don't scold thier kids when no one's around you're triple retarded and if you think those little girls don't act sexy then you're a quadrotard.

  • i never said flippers arent fake, i said SMILES! as in most of their smiles arent fake. and how do you know most of their mums scold them? i have like tons of pageant friends of all ages whose parents have never scolded them. if you think they are "sexy" you need help, becuase i've seen worse at dance recitals. and excuse me, but are you in pageants?

  • Didn't say MOST parents scolded. It only takes one bad parent to make it all worth shutting down if a child is being abused and if you disagree then you condone child abuse. Also, I'm sure you're not in your friends homes all the time to see what goes on and if there is any abuse, good chance they're going to keep that under wraps. Most children that are abused don't talk about it and some don't even know when they're being abused and think it's normal. Ever see a stripper dance? Apparently not.

  • well, a some parents in pageants do scold, i cant tell you they dont, but however, what about those children scolded for not making a home run in baseball? or not winning their dance competition? any kid can get scolded in any sport/ activity they do, but that doesn't mean children should sit at home all day becuz a couple kids got yelled. also, i am not in my friends' homes all the time, but all my parents say how nice and funny their parents are i doubt they would say that if they were scolded

  • @jayjaygirl24698 , ok....these kids sometimes get scolded for NOT BEING THE WINNER, or NOT LOOKING PERFECT. some pageant moms really do go that far, at that young of an age kids don't need those appearance problems. and with the baseball comment, pretty sure thats wrong too. Parents shouldnt push their kids in anything that much. too much pressure at such a young age.

  • yes, i know some kids get yelled at and that is wrong, but all of you people seem to forget that in toddlers and tiaras and other pageant shows, everything is edited. and then you also forget most of the kids with awesome parents, no appearence issues, who generally love pageants

  • This sounds a lot like abuse and adult strippers than child beauty pageants were girls get their hair done and wear a pretty dress?

  • Please don't call people retarded on my video =/

  • heyy x i was just wondering if you could send me the video clips ? I want to make a video.

All credit would go to you of course.

    Many Thanks Jasmine x

  • I would really love to, but I'm afriad I'm on a different laptop to what I made this video with. I no longer have a lot of my clips =/ Sorry

  • do you know anywhere i can get these clips from them ?

Like did you download them or record them ? if so how ?

    sorry to be a pain :L x

  • I downloaded them from links someone had given to me. I think they downloaded it from youtube. So if you can find the documentary, just use zamzar.

  • why would youe even put makeup on an animal!n wierd, but i guess if you like that kind of thing....

i will not say much about you pageant comment, but don't say rude things please! it is like bullong somene you never met! i am not saying you do, but don't get started!

    it really hurts...

  • we ain't gonna do anything to you! we just want you to stop judging!

  • When something is as messed up as this there's a great need for judging.

  • you are dumb and pageants aren't messed up, you are! i think you should be nicer because i did nothing to you! you are a judgementle pig, with a rude personality! oh and i don't think we are so messed up! i have been called a slut, a whore, a bitch, a bimbio, and a whole lot worse. and it hurts coming from you peole who don't even know us! you people also insualt my parents! you never have to deal with that because of your hobbies! so leave us the hell alone!

  • The only reason I have a problem with a "hobby" like this is because it supports something I am completely against: the promotion of physical beauty. There is a huge emphasis in society on what people look like when in reality it shouldn't even be thought of. People have lost the ability to value things like intelligence, these parents are teaching their children to simply concentrate on what they look like, not what they put in their head, making them just as stupid. Try not to take offense.

  • Just to let you know that intelligence is a bad example. As my friend is stunning and does pageants. But she goes to a private school and gets A*'s. Just saying, gotta walk in a pageant girl's shoes to know what the other side of the story is.

  • ha ha! thanks for helping! virtual high 5!

  • you are mean! why don't i take you to my next pageant so you can say that to my face. oh and everyone elses face too!

  • excuse me?!? waht do you mean by that?

  • 1.28 she looks like a doll :o

She's really sweet but a lot of girls could look as good as her with her make up..

  • i have a video with a pic of what she looks like today but its a bit blurry

  • can you please show me? i'm interested in what she looks like :]

  • i really want too see it too!!!

  • my little sister and i competed against swan alot, she is beautiful. She was very unfortunite to loose her parents at a young age, so did i i now live with my auntie who takes me to shane and micheal, the same hair and make-up artists that made swan what she is todaay, they are great =D

  • Rboin had a heart attack when Swan was only like 9..

  • where and how can i get its lyrics?

  • This Is My Time To Shine - Raven Symone

  • ive never really heard of this singer. and did she sing this song when she was this age????????????????? and i only know this song because i take vocal class and were doing this song and im supposed to practice this song for my solo. haha.

i love this song. and im trying to find lyrics for this song but i cant find anyyyy. :(:(:(

  • sWAN I WONDER WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE TODAY!!! AND I DIDNT NO SHE LOST HER PARENTS THEN WHOS ROBIN???

  • Robin is her dead mother... its very sad that her parents had to die :(

  • what happened to robin?how did she die?

  • I said Her mother's name is Robin Browne. Her name is Swan Brooner......d'oh people are stupid.

  • I stumbled onto this vid en route to looking at others, ie, totally by accident. I just have to say that this child is beautiful just outside playing and goofing off! What a natural beauty, just a lovely child. It made me wonder how all the other pagent girls look when they're not in all the hair and makeup. Once, when my daughter was about 5, we made her up and teased her hair just to do it, I don't know why. She looked in the mirror and cried! Oh well, some got it, some don't.

  • You are NOT her sister..Her name was Robin, not Robyn, and her last name is Browne, not Brooner. Any one can come online and pretend to be someone, except the actual people actually have a life. I read her obituary, she had a sister named Stacy.

  • I thought her last name was Brooner though ?! Isn't it Swan Brooner ?!

  • They're baaaaaaaaackkkkkkkkk LOL

  • how dare you,

my sister robyn brooner loved her daughter and swan loved her mother she isnt even with us and yet u discard her u sicken me leave my neice alone . alison brooner

  • cickyypie14-

I did not know that Swans mother passed away

and her father as well. I am sorry hear that.

I believe your sister loved her daughter, but

Swan was used and exploited. That what it looks like on "living dolls" and you have to know that. A lot of mothers do that to their daughters. It's like they live through them.

It would appear Robyn was doing that with Swan.

Again, I am very sorry Robyn passed away.

The poor girl lost both her parents at a young age.

  • Ladfylike1980- i don't know if Swan liked it or not, but if she did she was not used or exploited. and yyes a lot of mothers to that to their daughters, but a lots of those girls loved them and most of the mums arent living through their children.

  • i don't believe you that ur swans aunty or Robin's sister, 1 her name is spelt Robin not robyn and her last name is Browne not brooner!

  • She looks like Heather O'rourke from polterguist

  • She remind me sooo much of JonBenet.

  • she's beautiful all together

  • aww swan, such a cutie ^^

  • im not sure who asked this but someone said its impossible to get real hair to look like that at 5. No its not. It depends on how thick ur hair is. TEAZING THE HAIR PPL!!! ive done a lot of pageants and theyre kinda big where i live i mean i only know a hanndful of girls who havent been in one. im srry for u ppl that judge them as being like plastic surgery encouragement. Pageants are what they are.... deal with it

  • i did this too and there was pressure - i luved it,but now that i'm older, there were some things i wouldn't want my kid to go through.just harsh parents.this girl ,i hope she has balance and is doing well.Cute vid.i wonder if she's seen this?

  • how did her parents?

  • very beautiful girl..she's 14 now and experienced so much!! dad and mom died!! :( sad story..

  • Who sing this song ?

  • raven - his is my time to shine

  • Hey, I got this from Wikipedia:

"Swan is now fourteen years old, a cheerleader, and an honor roll student. It is unknown whether she continues to compete in pageants. Her mother, Robin Browne, died in 2003 of a heart attack; Swan went to live with her father in Alaska, who later passed away from cancer. Swan currently lives with her older sister. Leslie is still competing in pageants; Michael and Shane are no longer a couple."

That's a sad ending to the story, isn't it?

  • who thinks she look alittle like jonbenet i think so. with like the blonde hair.

  • Swan Brooner looks SO much more beautiful without all that goop on her face and wigs and blah. She is a very beautiful child :)

  • ohhh btw what actually happened to her mum cz people said she died but...

  • yes, she did die.

  • oh wow. ignorance amazes me. do you have any idea how many pageant give our scholarships or place an emphasis on school? numerous pageants do. and if it is so humiliating then they wouldnt do them to begin with. glitz( with tons of makeup and fake hair) and natural pageants are so much fun and not in the slightest bit stupid.

  • Oh wow, bad English amazes me. It doesn't matter how much of an emphasis they place on school, their primary objective is to judge little girls on how "beautiful" they look. That is of course the most insignificant thing you could pay attention to.

  • you are just one of those steriotypical pigs. i hope you have a happy life judging what you know nothing about!

  • half of you people have never been to a pageant you damn life. so shut up. it makes me so mad when i hear omg she looks too old and shit. you dont know what is like and how much fun they are. the only time they cross the line is when the mom makes her kid do the. but pageants for me and other girls are amazing. we love to get dressed up and have fun with it. and if you dont like it dont fucking look at the videos. get over it. andd swan brooner is just about the cutest thing.(:

  • Thank you so so so so so much!!! I really hate it when people "hate" something without ever experiencing it. I understand that you may be a little mad but please could you leave the swearing out next time. Thanks.

  • theres nothin wrong wit pageants iv been doing it almost mi hole life since i was 11 months (im 12 now). i hate wen ppl say bad stuff about pageants.

  • haha. i will promise. i was so mad. i hate it when people do that. (:

  • I have so much fun doing pageants as well, I've done them since I was a baby and I'm 14. My parents didn't force me to do them, I did them because I wanted to, and I had fun. Don't dis them if you've never been in one.

  • Just watched the living dolls video and Swan's mother is so pushy, Thats not a way to treat your child, she is a child not a robot or a doll. Gorgeous girl who doesnt need make-up. Nice vid though :)

  • I used to enjoy beauty pagents but now, i think it puts too much focus on outer beauty (and thus too much plastic surgeries being done in every country). And as for these little girls being in pagents, i think it's really their parents who want to be in the pagents or who are living out their dreams through their kids. i think the parents are the ones who are messed up.

  • Her mother can be quite pushy I agree. Although you can't deny, Swan does have a passion for pageants and her mum is just trying to help her, through doing that she may be helping herself, but it's more about her daughter. I agree though, she's so cute with and with-out make-up. But with make-up is just much more fun ^.^

  • i've done a few pageants as a naive teenager thinking it would lead to fame and fortune. It did more harm then good. I found it very bitchy, horrible and it destroyed my self confidence. A lot of the mothers were very pushy and encouraged their daughters to be catty.I wouldn't recommend it for children. Pageants aren't they way to go. Girls like to be pampered but there are other ways then pageants.

  • Thanks for your opinion. I know you say it "destroyed" your self confidence. But I have seen too many scenes where self confidence is overated and easily "gained" back, you just have to believe and leap. Maybe your pageants weren't the best because of the mothers expectations but I don't think it's like that everywhere.

  • everyone has different opinions personally i would like to do a beauty pageant to see what it would be like but that is my opinion but they can be bad sometimes let's remember JonBenet god rest her soul!!!!!!!!

  • well it looks like we have two listen, some girls may like beauty pageants and other girls may not just leave it at that!!!!!!!!!!

  • i was a pageant girl when i was younger and it was actually all up to me and my idea. my mom never forced me to do anything. believe it or not the girls like being pampered with all the makeup. it's like playing dress-up all day everyday.

  • Thank you for this comment. This is what I'm trying to tell people but a lot don't listen.

  • x0xlex yes thats true but I know kids hate being yelled at and scolded for doing something wrong so the mother can have perfection.. that kind of stuff is just not right.

  • i see your point. i don't think it's fair for their mothers to become overly obsessed with it and once it leads to the yelling and scolding for mistakes then that's when i realize it's getting out of hand. However, in the beginning of the documentary it says that pageants are a "way of life" in the south. I'm from the east coast and nobody ever takes it that far nor have i ever seen a mother become that crazy. I'm not stereotypical but maybe that's how it is down south.

  • Great video! You should definitly make more!

  • Thanks :)

  • i do pagents and the worst thing about them is all the make up it feels weird and i cant were eyeliner because my start eyes start crying lol so my started buying my expensive stuff oh well thay are fun and nothing like what thay say thay are

  • I've done a pageant before and I found it mega fun. Although I did put my own eyeliner on ;)

  • i think swan is cuter with out all the make-up

but i love this it was rellly coll has any one ever watched living dolls youtube surch it well i love it and i give it 5 stars

  • About your video: nicely edited and sweet song.

About Swan: At 01:04 she almost looks scary. Her face looks cramped and she obviously feels uncomfortable. That's sad.

I think she looks much cuter without the purple lipstick and big hairdo. They should reduce makeup in pageants for kids to natural lipgloss and blusher.

  • Uuhh, thanks I guess. I agree that they should reduce the make-up. Although it's different for everyone. When I was a child I never did pageants or any of that stuff but I still wore lots of make-up. It depends what type of girl you are. I always used to play dress-up with mounds of make-up on. Probably didn't look very good, but it's all for fun. If this is what Swan wanted to do then I won't put her down for it.

  • In the documentary her pageant coach wants her to make that face for some reason. He says it's her "pageant face". He makes her raise he eyebrows which actually does make her look uncomfortable. However I guess the judges are into that because she won grand champ.

  • who sings this song?

  • Raven Simone

  • this girl is so cute and pretyy!!!

  • i love this videomany people try to depict pageants as a bad thing and call it child abuse bc children look as if theyre forced to do them. This shows the nice things about them and what they really are. GREAT JOB MAKE ANOTHER!!!

  • Thank you. I'm not really sure about making another. I have debated about it, but... With all the cr@p I'm getting... I don't think pageants is a bad thing if they are not forced.

  • She seems a little sad in some parts of the video.I wonder if it's the makeup or the pagents?

  • I get too many comments like that and every time I do I just get so annoyed. Please, I would like comments from the video-making point of view. I don't care about pageants, I'm british.

  • Seems like you have a weird view upon your children in the states. They are not Living Dolls - they are children! She is so pretty just the way she is, why would you want to put make-up on her, make her breathe in toxic fumes from the hairspray and put sexy combow-outfits on her? Let her be a child and don't make her think about her apperance - she'll have plenty of time her whole life to think about what to wear and how she looks..

  • My children in the states? I'm a 13 year old from London? I personally don't find this wrong if the child likes it. Yes, if the parent pushes them I think it's wrong. This little girl, from what I have heard, loved to do pageants, it was one of her favorite things. She wasn't ALWAYS wearing make-up and playing dress up. Most of the time she was a carefree child. If you haven't watched the documentary then I suggest you do as 10% of the time is she actually doing pageants.

  • XXtajinderxx, I know you are very young but if you have any maturity please find it and leave this girl alone. She has suffered enough.

  • She's also pretty smart:D woah! This a absoultue suprise i wander what she will say? I DON't EVEN thinks she knows SHE's POPULAR ON YOUTUBE. She'll probably be shy and a lil embarressed cuz of all the makeup..

  • do yhoo reeally know her innit

  • No I don't really know her. She was on a documentary called, "Living Dolls".

  • okaii thanks wen was the programme made

  • Hmm.. I think it was around 1998-1999.

  • OMG , she goes to my school!!!!!!!!!! WTH, i never knew she did pagents, god she never told anyone. Swan's a nice girl, she a little too girly. OMG i can't wait till school tommorow to see what she says, i bet she's immberesed about this

  • she's pertty, but i feel sorry for little girls who have to go around like that cause most don't enojy it and it just ain't normal

  • does this little girl enjoy this? she looks misrable when she's done up she's id beautifull without her make up

  • she does. the contest can get a bit of pressure on them but overall pageants are very fun. and yes she's pretty with and without make-up.

  • She was in little miss sunshine cast??? Her face is familiar for me un the LMS movie...

  • I don't think so... Although I have never seen the whole movie of LMS I know Swan Brooner and she is keeping a low profile and leading a 'normal' life without her parents :(. I don't really know LMS just that Abigail Breslin was in it. But remember Swan Brooner isn't actually an actress this was a documentary.

  • I saw a little blonde girl similar to Swan when Abigail was in the contest, at the end of the movie, but I consult the IMDB and Swan neverbe in the movie, thanks anyway! And give a hug & kiss to Swan in my name :)

  • Oh, I know my other post was quite misleading but I don't KNOW her in person. I just know a little about her background and how she is keeping a low profile ;) Sorry if you misunderstood.

  • Ok, don't worry.

  • go swan

  • Thats so wrong.

    she looks happier being

a normal kid. not a doll.

    uber cutie.

  • I love this video but it shows u sad were u sad when doing the video. But anywas i love it you look so cute in it.

  • that little girl looked so much cuter without all that makeup on her pretty little face, its so sad to see people who push their kids into those types of things at such a young age...

  • why she looks so sad?

  • love it !!

  • Thanx

  • what is the song and who is singing it? and i really like the video!!!

  • Thx! The song is: This is my time to shine and Raven Symone sings it. :)

  • she is such a cutie

  • OMG!!! i love it!! is soooooo sweet! :D

  • she looks rlly sad that she has to do thee pageants, but i dont kno who this grl is, who is she?

  • This is a video about a girl called Swan Brooner who loved to do pageants. - (But I don't think she does them any more) The documentary about her is 'Living Dolls'.
