I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH! I'm playing it in orchestra at my school, and at first I hated it because I couldn't get the rhythm down and it sounded horrible when I played. But now that I've practiced it so much and I have it right, it's sooo beautiful! :)

I just realised that the leader is Jan Stigmer! He's an amazing violinist. I heard him as soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra once in London. It was incredible! I was watching this great video and then suddenly I saw who it was. Not strange that the orchestra sounds great!

to slow?? u gotta be kidding! i checked ur version and its not much faster. plus the one you have on your page lacks a fullness of tone, and ironically lacks in energy. if ur one was so good, why doesnt it have a high rating??

Take it easy - it's just an opinion of course, but this movement should be full of youthful energy and emotion - this interpretation is just too sedate and cool. As for youtube ratings, like critics, one shouldn't take them too seriously.

I agree with you. I heard once a performance by the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, and they played it with more energy and pep. And slightly faster and with just more life: More attitude and markant.
