I love metal and rap, but this literally sounds like the band just thought "Hey, let's take this rap song by the PETA, cut and paste it at the end of our song and call the people who don't think it's a good idea 'close-minded, stereotypical, meanie metal-elitists'." There's just no build up or anything in the rap part that has to do with the metalcore part. Well, I guess with the exception of the stupendously shitty vegan lyrics. Being open minded does not mean tolerating shitty music like this.
I don't know why people hate the rap part. I love rap and metal. I'm a Musician, I have to appreciate all types of music as it is, but closeminded 12 year olds are just stubborn 'cause there friends' are all like "RAP SUCKS" easy as that.
The lyrics are really good, but the rap is out of synch with the tone of the first part of the music...it was like putting two different kinds of tones together and just failing in mashing them up in synchronizing rhythmic. Try Otep if you want some rap with heavy stuff.

Dissing the entire song and the band because of the rap is stupid. If you hate it THAT MUCH and are that unwilling to give it a chance, just cut the song off when the rapping starts, or just go to Garageband or something similar and edit it so the rapping is out altogether. It's really a simple fix.
I love Deadlock because they have the elment of suprise in every song, i mean like those sax solos, disco/techno breakdowns, rap an all those sorts of thing thats wery amazing an especially i love the disco/techno breakdowns especially on their new album Bizarro World - Renegade when in the chorus is sick techno beat and Johannes sings. This entire track is a really eloquent piece of music... I've never heard anything quite like this, and I have storehouses of music built up... I really enjoy this band... The metal side of this song is as you'd expect from deadlock; brilliant. Deadlock is a decent band and they get a lot of points in my book for trying something new, but this simply does not fit the song. And I actually Like rap too!
Metal for me is mostly about feeling. It seemed to me like this was attempted to do with a serious face and trying to keep the dark atmosphere but the band did not succeed IMO.

Deadlock is a decent band and they get a lot of points in my book for trying something new, but this simply does not fit the song. And I actually Like rap too!
Metal for me is mostly about feeling. It seemed to me like this was attempted to do with a serious face and trying to keep the dark atmosphere but the band did not succeed IMO.

I don't mind the rap part too much. I just wish that the transition to it had been better.
I don't understand why people are bashing this song so much. Even if you don't like it you should still respect it for the simple fact that they are trying to do something new. It may not have turned out how you'd like it or had imagined it but the simple fact they broke the same boring shell of the genre warrants praise in itself.

ive really only listened to the music videos, and this one just cause of what i heard about the rap. now i said i havent listened to much of them so far so dont get pissed when i say this but it sounds like they are like Rise Against in terms of the lyrics (not the music!). now i may actually prove myself wrong if i listen to more. as for the rap eh...now if they would have did it the way papa roach does it then it would fit, but overall there pretty good.
