@JJ125443 I believe the reason they didn't change the suits was because alienating the audience. I mean the Power Rangers new and huge back then and recognizable icons at one time.

@metalgodaragona1986 And that's the funny thing, Power Rangers Zeo must have been going back to a cheaper way of making the show because it could use the Japanese footage for everybody again, but to the American audience it would look like they were going all-out to liven up the show with the new costumes and team of bad guys.

Sentai is a show for more than just kids. For example, I never heard a PR saying: "I am gonna kill you!" I've heard it in Sentai though. But when we grew up, we usually were fans of the PR. And even though, its a cheap rip off, it still has a charme.

I agree that they should have used the dairanger costumes, but at least the dairanger costumes can be a "powered up mode" for the zyuranger costumes. After all, the dairanger uniforms is basically a vest and a suit, so basically it looks like as if a vest is put over the zyuranger costume with "magic" changing the helmet.

I actually would have liked it it they had changed costumes. At the time (since I was like 6) I didn't notice really, but the Zyuranger costumes were just so unfitting with the changing seasons. Imagine if they tried Zeo with the Zyuranger costumes? XD

Saban was worried that because everyone loved the rangers as they were they thought it was to big of a risk to change too much so they chose to keep the old costumes even though they changed the zords

well yeah obviously! hell most of the time bandai didnt have dairanger monster costumes so they had the rangers morph, show a clip of the monster from sentai footage on his/her own. the rangers would defeat the putties then the monster grow and the rangers call their zords. or the rangers fight the monster, monster grows, rangers call their zords and u dont see the zords and the monster in the same shot cos the monster if from Zyu 2 footage lol

the reason they got rid of green in morphing was because in the Japanese version he was only in six episodes then got killed.

Duh. But, he is saying that the whole show should've been overhauled using all of the dairanger suits rather than just white. Personally, I think this would have made more sense with the suits matching the animals/colors. However, it would have confused the kids.

Yeah, that's what I heard too. I saw an episode online where there were shots to the groin for crying out loud! Just thought it was odd to have zords that didn't match helmets or, in black rangers case, color.

thats because they wanted to keep a black ranger and they still had tommy using a zyuranger suit when they introduced those zords

Budget was not really the problem, it was the fact that Sentai had filmed 50 more episodes specifically for Power Rangers, Saban decided at the last minute to change the Zord to the Dairanger Zord, but they had to use the monsters that Zyurangers filmed, which is why the original megazord appears in some shots from season 2. The only reason why they kept the same costumes for season 3 was because they were so popular with fans that Saban was afraid to change them at the time.
