Man, I saw the Posies with Julianna Hatfield in Norwich UK around '94.....they were hugely under rated.

The Posies were/are definitely under rated. First time I saw 'em live was in 94 at The Fillmore in San Francisco. They were with Alex Chilton as Big Star. Before then, I liked their songs, but never bought an album. In retrospect, I think I questioned their street cred. They got lost in a crowd of paisley, 60's-esque bands touted as the next Hollies or Yard Birds. At SF show, they played a few Posies songs. I was floored. It was clear I was wrong. Started buying their records. Didn't look back.

I saw these guys a half dozen times in their prime. They represent the Seattle sound more than anyone, I think. AIC is close but these guys were more grounded.
