  • It's ironical that so many Indians rush to Europe and pay huge amounts in euro currency to see their heritage structures and are hell-bent on destroying our own!! Isha, keep up the spirit, you provide a ray of hope in all the apathy that surrounds us

  • Dear Isha... We all are proud of your sincere effort... More than that your Vision for this amazing monuments... Lots of love and prayers..

  • Of course CST (nee Victoria Terminus) should not be delisted. Thank you Isha, for taking the initiative to preserve our heritage for our children's children's children's childdren's, children's....you get the idea.

  • Please do not destroy this historical monument.

  • Isha dear, excellent video. Very creative, informative and thoughtful. I like the way you have shown the interesting carvings on these age old buildings. Very well written and thoughtful script also. Appreciate the effort you have put in to generate awareness on this issue.

Thank u and best wishes. Sutapa Aunty

  • @suto8ph1 Thank you Aunty :)

  • Dear Isha, There is so much in this little piece you have created. It is educative and thought-provoking. I compliment you and hope something is done about the cause you have highlighted. Swami Chidananda

  • @chidananda9 Thank you very much. I am really very happy you liked my piece. Pranaam

  • Isha, fantastic job! Yes I agree with you that the heritage structure should be preserved. Surprisingly what a tenth grader understands is not what our great leaders (???) do not understand. I fully support the cause!

  • @aapandit1 Thank you! Frederic Stevens was only double my age and he made the CST.

  • Hi Isha! :)

This is an excellent video! Great work and congrats!! :D

And I really hope it makes an impact on changing the way people see Mumbai and its heritage!

  • @meghabyte13 More than changing, I wish people would just LOOK - and see our heritage for the very first time

  • Isha did a fabulous job of highlighting what Mumbai is about in its inner core and how the external fabric of human greed and desires are changing this. Pen is mightier than sword, but, seeing this video I feel that a video is mightier than the pen and you can add your comments which will be mightier than the video.

Good Job Isha! Keep up the good work!!!

  • @GVKamesh Video is what we use all the time so I didn't know any other medium. Thank you!

  • Wonderful job Isha! Well chosen topic and a powerfully delivered message!

  • @mspangrud Thank you. Was easy to deliver the message - since I believe in it wholly

  • Great job Isha!

  • @spywaregear Thank you spywaregear :-)

  • Well made video. No question of allowing the Railways to convert the area around CST into a commercial complex. Did not realize that there was so much space around CST. Great work, Isha.

  • @gundans2 There was more space around the mills too. No longer there. Thank you!

  • Well thought and made film. I would vote for keeping it a protected site and preserving and sprucing it up with money raised from part selling the useless patch of land...

  • @damodarmall Would you say it is useless, even if it is converted to a Railway museum and theme park?

By selling a part of the land to make a high-rise (only a real estate person would buy), do you feel Mumbai's space issues would be resolved?

  • Isha, a very good and powerful message to all those who love Mumbai (Bombay) and who have no time to ensure it's glory is preserved for generations. These buildings created so lovingly by erstwhile greats of Mumbai (Bombay) shows the rich cultural heritage of India and should be preserved for the next generations. These historic links to the past reinforces the richness of our history and would serve to inspire the coming generations to surpass.

    I support your cause.

  • @pinnasuresh Thank you. My cause is everyone's cause I hope.

  • A thought provoking video. Very nice.

I wholly support your cause in preserving the heritage status of CST.

  • @ninadkajale T y :D

  • Very impressive job Isha! CST should be preserved as a UNESCO structure and I am sure with your efforts more people will see what they have become so blind to.

  • @bhavanakss1 Thank you, appreciate it.

  • The CST should stay as a UNESCO structure... what else do we have to boast about?

  • @602Shreejidham T y B/A !

  • I support you in your endeavour, and let me know if you need any help.

  • @kartikeyatutwala Cheers for the offer of help!

  • Many more people have passed thrugh CST monumental architacture than any other i know.

Only change allowed is Nmae of the place to reflect changing times. Should big time developers, politicians, rats etc put too much pressure for developement, let them go underground where they really belong. With modern tech, this type of underground construction is now a reality. Good Luck with your efforts.

  • @chetan2634 Love the underground idea! Bet you they'll make Frederic Stevens turn in his grave (he is buried at Sewri cemetary)

  • amazing ! Isha, i am from malaysia, studied in Sir JJ, class of '86, and regard Bombay as my second home, just visited Bombay(i still like to call Bombay intead of Mumbai, mayb bcos of my five years of living in Bombay) in June last year, i travelled tru CST everyday when i studied in Sir JJ, to Chembur, i am all behind u for this project of yours, i hope u succeed in your powerful video & message,

  • @pathfinder1275 Thank you! Appreciate you stopping by to write a note. Am sure you have noticed small details at CST which others have missed. Which is your favorite CST surprise?

  • Well done Isha! This is a thought provoking film. But I wonder which is better, to hand over land to private developers and use the money to improve the city infrastructure, or to retain vast tracts of open, filthy land that are of no use to anyone.

  • @sangeetamall Never said we should leave it as is - filthy and no use. But not sure the only solution is to give it to 'developers'. Which developer do u feel has made a great public space in Mumbai?

  • Great work....good and well researched narration...

  • @adionlinenow Thank you!

  • Great work By Isha Mukherjee. Very educating-Well researched and well made. I super like it.

  • @SunJMathur Super thank you!

  • It is brilliant and I hope people take note. We have some of the best heritage sites in the world but the way the public treats them, one has to wonder how long they will survive.

  • @kharbuziyan Agree. My mom asks: Did you mean public or public servants? And she asked me to put a smiley :-)

  • Good work! We must retain our heritage structures. They are far more better than the modern day glass skyscrapers........

  • @pvpradhan Wonder what of these will survive 100 years from now?

  • Nice work Isha!

  • @shireeshjoshi Thank you!

  • Hey Isha, great work. The CST should never be taken out of the Heritage list and hope more people realize the gems around the city. I hope your work get the mass response it should. All the best!!

  • @joel681 Thank you :D

  • indeed a good work. I vouch your voice. Best of Luck

  • @subhajit999 Thank you. request you to pl forward it to whoever you feel cares.

  • Hi Isha...Great video...Loved the heritage structures... we are in full support with you..Keep going...

  • @TheAster2004 Thank you! Who's 'we'??

  • This looks good. Thanks Isha and wish you all the best with your school project.

  • @knharilal Thank you. Actually had a lot of fun too so am very thankful to my school to have provided this opp to me

  • Nice job !! keep it up. You have touched the heart of the issue. Hopefully our city people wake up !!

  • @Goochy62 I love history, so this was my tribute to Mumbai Heritage. Thank you!

  • Good work... keep it up... regards, Aravind

  • @arvinds531 Thank you!

  • Where is Anna Hazare? Where is Sachin Tendulkar? Where are those politicians who are going to take all that money with them when they leave this earth? Don't these morons know that the buildings they build today will be kissing the ground in few years? Keep these buildings in tact, in fact they should be preserved.

  • @a1429b :D that's a powerful comment!

  • Isha, thanks for reigniting the memories of wonderful heritage sights in Mumbai and mainly the awareness about devious plans of those in power to de-list them. This is a wonderful effort with a very powerful message and question. I hope there is a mass movement to stop these sites from being de-listed.

    Girish S

  • @gsherikar Hope so too!

  • Great job Isha..! None of us old Mumbaikars thought of doing this...good luck and God bless!

  • @INDIAINCLASSROOMS Thank you :D

  • I am amazed anyone is even thinking of delisting CST's UN World Heritage status! It’s a true architectural wonder and the only functioning office building in the world with this unique prestige. Apparently 1/5 of the city's population passes through this busy railway terminus, but despite everyone being in a rush, one can not but help be awe struck at the sheer genius of architecture and artistry in display. De-list CST’s UN World Heritage status? Never!

  • @MumbaiGenNext Thanks for pointing out that it is the only functioning office building. had not thought of it that way!

  • Loved seeing Mumbai's heritage buildings. Great job highlighting the CST delisting controversy. Agree with you completely. Never!

  • @bijnez Thanks so much!
