She's fretting two finger power chord shapes on the A string and letting all strings ring out (simplification would be F#m, Em, and D):

She also tends to drop the fretting on the d string before a chord change, ex. Dmaj7/F# to Dmaj9/F#:030000 before returning to F#m. Contrasting section:

I love this song and it's exactly the just-dischordant sound of it that makes it heart-rending and beautiful. "Fatiguing?" It's repetitive, but that's the kind of song it is, I think there's something soothing about that.

Wow.... this would have been nice if she would have tuned her guitar first. Also worth noting: Dynamics are such a critical component to expressing emotion in your music. From start to finish, this performance is belted out at maximum volume, both on guitar and vocals. It get fatiguing after a short time. Take it down a notch at times.... practice being intense without being loud. Crescendo and decrescendo at appropriate times. Good dynamics and a tuned guitar would take it from a C- to A.

Agree with you 100% - so I'll share those red numbers from the homers with you. Yep - "fatiguing" is definitely the right adjective.

She's like a robot programmed to flail that awful-sounding tinny, jangly guitar at one dynamic level. Looks like it might be a Cort, but whatever it is, it sucks.
