This is my song right now...this movie came out as I was preparing to move 3 states away from the town I'd grown up. I listened to this song constantly during that time. Now, a few years later..I've recently "lost myself" and turned into a different person..but as the song says "you finally start to live for someone else, and then you find yourself"..my BF is what brought me back to the real me :) This song fits me perfectly right now. think thats probably because the song tells the story of the film. I liked Cars but like you when I heard this it sort of made more sense. Cars is a good, fun film but I suppose it would work too as a real film - think it could be a very powerful story. Anyway, great tune and sure its helped a lot of people.

Nice video - thanks for having it. Joe Ranft died nearly 3 years ago (August 2005). He was the voice of Red & Peterbilt. He was also a co-writer & director. It's a shame he died before the film was actually released.
